Against West Ham:
------------------Lloris--------------------
-------Foyth--Toby--Sanchez-----
--KWP------------------------Davies--
--------------------Dier---------------------
---------Son------Alli-------Eriksen----
-----------------Llorente-----------------

Against Ajax:
--------------------Lloris------------------
------Sanchez--Toby--Vert---------
--Trippier----------------------Rose---
---------------Alli-----Vinnie------------
---------Moura------------Eriksen----
-------------------Llorente---------------

I think Sanchez is more robust than Foyth if that’s what you want v West Ham.
Would you not have Wanyama start either game?
Dier is the better option, and he should be fresh after his injuries. Wanyama has been better recently than I expected, but I still think he's being cortizoned through games as a final swansong, simply because we are so short in cm

I think they will be
Lamela sounds like he is out for a long time

I think that there may have been some misinterpretation of Poch's comments. It appears illogical to me that any of the players who are undergoing on field rehab are out for a long time. They should be getting close to fitness (compare the fact that Kane is just doing rehab, not onfield, at this time). I think Poch was addressing the fact that Lamela has had a bunch of injury problems in 2019 that has been frustrating. Unless there is a setback, I would expect to see all of the onfield rehab group back before the end of the season.

Wanyama is a better footballer than Dier so would definitely start him against Ajax over Dier

Shame Lamela isn't back, could have used him and rested someone. Makes me worry that Winks, Lamela and Sissoko will all be missing for the 1st leg along with Son.

Was confirmed a few days ago that Sissoko is out for 2 weeks, best case scenario he may be back for the 2nd leg.

Winks is also a big loss, hopefully he will be back for the 2nd leg too.

Lamela.... who knows.

It’s why we need to offload Lamela and buy someone who can stay fit

Has Lamela ever got injured in the actual pitch?

Dier couldn’t have scored the goal that Wanyama did at against Huddersfield with the close control and skill he showed.

Seems like you never rated Wanyama before we signed him and rather than admit he’s been a good buy (injures aside) you’re insistent on doubling down on your position.

Didn’t Dier score a goal like that on his debut?

I’m a Big fan of both players by the way!

Against West Ham? Similar but not with quite the same skill and quick feet as Wanyama showed.

I like Dier to but I appreciate him for what he is. I think he’s rather limited on the ball but all the same I think he’s a important player for us given how many positions he can play, his physicality and he seems to love playing for the club.

He is no more limited than Wanyama

Wanyama has had one season with us where he was clearly better than Dier. If you are assessing them fairly, at their best, I would say that they are equal defensively, Dier is a better passer, Wanyama is better at carrying the ball.

There have to be concerns about Wanyama's fitness at the moment, he was dead on his legs after 60 minutes at the Etihad.

Just checked my email and I have an email from the club with the subject line "Build up to the first London derby at our new home plus Dier exclusive"
What about Palace?

Limited is a strange opinion of him to say the least. He's limited compared to Eriksen or Lamela, but he's by far the most comfortable on the ball of our "defensive" midfielders.
