I don't have a problem with Tripper. Actually created some openings. One sloppy pass when we were adjusting to a new setup. He didn't have an option to pass to.
How I saw it - he looked forward and couldn’t see anything on. Of course in hindsight would have been better to just thump it but it’s not the way we play and it’s not just Trippier who’s been guilty of losing the ball doing this. From where he gave the ball away there was still plenty to do....

Yes their tactics have, it was called from the first minutes how Rashford was making those runs knowing the space he’d have in behind and up against two CBS who can’t handle his pace. And that’s exactly what happened....
In that instance, the instance Neville was referring to, it wasnt to do with tactics....all on Tripps.

Feel bad for Aurier that he isn’t even on the bench. Is he injured?

I think we can get back in this - United haven’t been that good, it’s just neither have we.

Winks really needs to be better in the final third. He’s neat and tidy and composed when deep, but I never have confidence he can make the right decision when around the oppo box. That’s the thing that will stop him from getting to Modric level or anywhere near.

We always looked susceptible but thought we were starting to control the game a bit from 30 mins. Trippier again was bloody awful. I don’t care who gave what options, that was terrible. Hugo’s positioning might have been slightly off but it was a great finish.

Neville is talking brick about this being like Liverpool. The Dippers absolutely dominated us for nearly 90 mins. United are hitting us on the counter mainly and we had started to get on top.

Listening to the half time analysis I have from Sherwood and Giggs. I have to agree that United's tactics of leaving three up against our center backs is catching is out pace wise and numbers.

Switching to three at the back will help. Also bring on Rose and KWP.

I know its a game of 2 halfs but i am not feeling optimistic about getting the win.

We will get a draw at best.

We need to change our tactics. We have been really poor. Yes we have injuries in midfield. We still have shown the wrong meteorology on the pitch. COYS. Do this for Sissoko.

I think you've been brain washed by Neville. We've had more shots and more possession. They've had a couple of counters, mostly gained from us handing them possession.

Having said that - I fear the worst in the 2nd half with us tiring.

I dont know how many times Trippier has given the ball away in the opposition half this season, but thats just poor. Winks for me is weak in the middle.

We have no one to cover for Winks though but he does need to step up, this is a good opportunity to show what he can do but generally he's not very strong when teams have a midfield with power and pace that can run at us.

If the runs not being made, that's not the problem of the ball player in his position. He's meant to play the pass and then moan at someone for not making the run, not play a speculative pass into the most dangerous area of the pitch.

We can still win this, our best players just have to play to their level and not serve up that sh1t again for another half. Now come on you phucking Spurs!

I think Poch made the wrong sub. We needed more bodies at the back, a screening midfield/CB in Sanchez was the sub. Keep it tight at the back until we can reorganise at HT. Poor pass yes, but we'd lost our shape once Sissoko went off.
