I’ve got no problem with leaving Toby out, he’s been a long way off his best this year and Foyth is faster, the only thing arsenal gave up front is pace.

Stop the through balls in the middle and it is not an issue.

Having to reply on a thread bare midfield will catch up with us.

Dier was, well dire as was Sissoko but it was the third game in a week.

Blimey not sure where to start with that one.
I just want him to come out and say I fudged this up. He won't. He's a pussy. He will say something brick and we will probably. Lose the nest game before going on a win again.

Consistently brick and good we are. It's soooo predictable. We go on a run look really good everyone raves about us then we lose one or two. Just like Poch. Consistently inconsistent.

We win something. That's what everyone wants right? This isn't a knee jerk, poch is amazing 75% of the time. We need someone that's on the ball every single day. Let him get poached i say. Won't be a loss to us.

I still think that he'll end up going somewhere with more money and win bloody tons of things. So we'll definitely regret thinking that way. Don't do it to yourself, mate.

But, honestly, something's just really off about the way he seems to utterly *hate* substitutions at times - Emery out-thought him today, in large part down to that. Not sure what even having a world-class squad would do if it isn't used.

Take a deep breath and some need to take the dog for a walk.
Don’t lose it! The dog that is!

Game still on for me, and I'm glad at least that we're still fighting to get to 4-3 and not looking too scared at the back, despite being a man down.

Top four is going to be tough this season. Unfortunately Arsenal look like a decent side at the moment. Let's hope Man Utd don't start playing better/get rid of Mourinho.

Three at the back from the beginning of second half. Dier off for Toby, Eriksen back. Then the Aurier situation would have been less pressing. KWP and Moura on about 65 mins.

It amazes me that we changed to a back 3 and left Toby on the bench. Just so much wrong with this performance. Let's be honest, they should have killed us in the first half. A joke display from the first minute with Davies fumbling around on the ball and them getting their tails up. Vertonghen with a gift. And still, we managed to get 2-1 up via gifts from Arsenal and we throw it all away.

Another crunch game lost. If we’d won today I couldn’t see them finishing above us

Hey ho.
Oh come on. So if we lose a game it suddenly becomes a crunch game? Ha ha Poch can’t win. I know people are hurting but no need to be plonkers about it.

But we have had the bottle in the league, even away, we have proved that a few times (away a couple of times, home many). It is crunch cup games where we lack bottle and that is part of the problem. Don't think this game tells us much, Arsenal were always likely to win, new manager, the release after their dreadful late Wenger years. They are reinvigorated but it won't last that long when they grasp the nature of those immovable clams at the top of the table.

Poch is a great league manager, we will bounce back and I expect to finish above Arsenal.

But why were they the better team? because we let them be. We were fudging awful and made them look better, they done nothing amazing, just simple.

They got 4 goals and we got 2.

And if being honest we got away lightly!

That’s exactly what he is, which is why you play him in games like today, which should be straightforward victories.
Since when is this fixture a straightforward fixture?:D Classic Spurs fan arrogance.

Said in the summer some on here were getting way above their stations talking as if we were levels above Arsenal and would easily finish ahead of them - all because for the first time in about twenty years we’d finished above them in the league. Then they go on a long unbeaten run and it’s all yeah but they haven’t played anyone - then Liverpool couldn’t beat them, we lose to them. But hey, I’m sure we’re still ten times better than them...

I must say I was surprised to see Foyth start in place of Toby, especially since the latter was fit enough for the bench. He may be slower than Foyth but he has years of experience and a great partnership with Jan. I agree that Poch was extremely slow with his subs and it certainly contributed to the brick show we just witnessed. However, the starting 11 didn’t turn up from the beginning of the game and they all disappeared off at HT, too. Losing away to a close rival shouldn’t be a shock; playing so poorly should be, though. We habitually bottle playing them at their place and this game can now take its place in a long and unvaried history of being comfortably seen off away at Arsenal. I still believe we have a far better side than them (and their ridiculous luck cannot hold out all season) but such a meek defeat will always be painful. A truly appalling end to an otherwise excellent week.
