Mauricio Pochettino's Spurs always click into from late November onwards and they have been the best team in the league from mid-winter in each of the last three seasons. They have shown admirable resolve so far this year in grinding out attritional wins but it has never been as free-flowing as this – with the possible exception of the second half at Manchester United.

In finally producing a performance to match the result, Spurs may have altered perceptions of their campaign overnight. Given their many well-documented troubles – no stadium, no signing, injuries and defeats in the biggest league and Champions League games – it has been easy to think of Spurs as struggling.

Sissoko renaissance continues
N'Golo Kante has built a reputation on being absolutely everywhere at once but somehow Moussa Sissoko managed to outdo his France teammate. One minute Sissoko was clattering Mateo Kovavic in the left-back position with a tackle that drew a standing ovation from the nearest block, and the next he was charging down the right wing.

Definitely our best performance this season, and by some distance. We were back to what we've been like in previous seasons - attacking with pace

Hopefully we can bring a CM in in Jan which, along with the stadium move, will help keep optimism and freshness in the squad

What a performance, and what a result.

Was nice to see Poch seemingly take a different approach in this type of big game. It seemed to me he had increasingly become obsessed with playing possession football out from the back in every game, but today we focused on pressing and counter attacking instead, and it worked an absolute treat.

More of this approach against the top teams please Poch!

Isn't that the approach we took in many games against the bigger sides last season?

Was a good shout from Gale, but it was @Yermiyahu wot won it. This means we'll need increasingly hardcore custard action on every OMT, to maintain this level of performance.
He’s certainly set the bar at a challenging height Ron! GHod that performance cheered me up as I was stuck in an office in Zurich working... didn’t stop me running around the empty office for all three goals. Terrific performance and the Siss clearly MOM for me

An absolutely glorious performance, which does however raise one question.

What to do with Moura? Dare I say that we looked more to our best without him playing?
It's tough on Moura given he's been great all season but the reality is that Dele, Eriksen, Son and Kane seem to work that much better as an attacking unit. That certainly seemed to be what was happening today anyway. The way they combined was reminiscent of this team at their best a year and more ago.

Note on Chelsea, no team spirit or harmony. Bickering amongst themselves, bunch of clamish mercenaries. Going gets tough and they turn. Heading towards the break we could have 3 or 4 really.

Has to be said, as good as we were - Chelsea were poor.

I havent seen a Chelsea team that bad in a long time.

Not to take anything away from the win though, it was a men vs boys performance from us, we were excellent from first to last.

Feels like the sort of game that can tee us up for a real run of form.

Lamela too.. Guess it's the beauty of having a deep squad to draw on, despite the reverse agenda the media are trying to push. Even tonight harping on about our thin reserves.

What a joke, we're well stocked. No we didn't sign any players but we didn't sell any either.

We made them poor IMO.
