I thought the point of all this risky play around your defensive third, drawing the other side towards you in anticipation of creating pressure was so that you then transitioned quickly and exploited space higher up. We seem to do it for the sake of it, then just stagnate in midfield.
Passers, passers, passers.

Poch would but apparently it hurts their feelings if you sub a player for being brick.

Given that Wanyama hasnt broken out of a jog as yet, it doesnt seem that he feels match ready. Not really about being brick with him...but Winks would add more than him in every respect

We'd still have the Sissoko problem in midfield. Needs to be Winks and Wanyama or preferably Winks and Dier

Wanyama is a waste of space... unable to offer anything offensively and nothign defensively

Lamela seems to have revert to old habits trying impossible dribbles through three or four opponents.

Let's see how brave Poch is... At the very least Winks or Eriksen for Wanyama is a must at half time

Winks and Eriksen would add more

Getting out of 3rd gear would add even more

Considering the defence, I don't think we're doing badly. We didn't score until the 90th minuit was it here last year. And we are creating chances. Llorente helped against PSV, and in this weather a few balls into him and Kane may get a kock down.
