***OMT - Spurs vs FC Barcelona***

Pointless sub unless it sparks a change in tactic to punt/cross it at him. Even Mourinho knows that.
I wonder why he's even in the squad at all - there were a few occasions when he was in the box and wasn't crossed to. If you're not going to give him a chance at a header then, Llorente, what does he do?

We'd have a result in this game without Hugo! 1st is just shocking, and the last he just has to clear up field! Instead he puts us under pressure by playing short to a player under pressure!

I'm fudging furious with Lloris! Completely useless today! We could have played without a GK today and had a better result!
Gazzaniga should start every game now!

This and this.

I think we put a go show ‘considering’ the player missing and playing the club team in the world over the past decade.
So I’m happy and loverpool lost

From 0-2 down, we did well without a number of players. At the end we were still in the game.

Most important thing was we looked like a CL team, we competed, and weren't outclassed.

Just-need-to-sort-our-defending.

He looks a bit like a drugged out horse or giraffe or something. Adds absolutely nothing to our game, can't press for brick, and doesn't seem to have the skills or quickness in his legs anymore - but I guess we had no one else to put on.

He should play in a position like Fellaini, a bit deeper. Play long balls for him to flick, and runners in behind. Instead he plays as the spearhead. Complete waste.

Pochs stubbornness is an issue.
We are no longer the up and coming dynamic "best of the rest", we are now one of the "worst of the best".....the best impose their gameplan and are ruthless. If it isn't working, they impose their plan b etc
Lots of managers keep trust in plan A because they think its the best way to win .. Won't see pep, sari etc moving to plan b

Put Rose on in midfield and push Dier up a bit to occupy space and press. Or play one of the youngsters.

we gave it a good go, but the way our defense has been this season, with their creativity and quality up front, it always looked likely we were going to ship them in - but we showed good fight to get two goals back, moura was unlucky

Inter have won away, so we have a mountain to climb in this group - we need to get wins, starting with PSV next

So to go through, this must happen:

- We must smash PSV twice and Inter once.
- Barca must beat Inter twice.
- Inter could beat PSV, but with a small margin.

Not unlikely...but when you start to rely on ifs and buts and other teams' results, you know you're in trouble.

We should have course get something from Camp Nou, but I wouldn’t count on that.

Europa here we come!

That's part of plan a isn't it? Seen them do it a fair few times in the first half of games and when they are winning
My comment was about Poch rigidly sticking to playing it out from the back. How often does the our keeper go long? Even one as poor with his feet as Vorm. Perhaps Pep/Sarri plan to play it fro the back SOMETIMES and not other times. So they have a nuanced plan. In which case I'll say that perhaps Poch needs a more nuanced plan. Like when playing a Barca team that is pressing well with a few minutes remaining and one goal in it, hoof it upfield to reduce the chances of them walking it into the net and putting the game to bed.

Probably the most frustrating game i’ve Watched in a long time.
Commited 3 huge clusterfuc ks and they punished us. For 80 minutes of the game we hustled them and made them very uncomfortable, scored two great goals, too.
End up with fudge all. The players need to out that effort in during PL games!
Thing is you don’t play those kind of teams in the premier league. Different class going forward but they’ll punish you. But yes, we should be running around like a bunch of clams every game.

That should work, except he's neither as clever nor as aggressive as Fellaini, so it would probably be fruitful for a short time, then get worked out, after which he'd end up just never winning the ball. He just seems a bit gormless, tbh.

I can't understand it myself, and it is not just this match. We play like he is Kane Mark II but even in his prime he was never mobile just a target man.

Think we might be better off crashing out bottom of the group than finishing 3rd. We have more chance of nicking a domestic cup and a top 4 place if we have no European football imo. In the Europa, we could see the league season phucked and then end up with nothing at the end of the season. We want to be in the Champions League when the stadium is ready for next season.
