"Champions of 3rd place, we know what we are"

I think the feeling with some is that games that are must win (i.e. no 2nd chance) are the ones where we sometimes fall short. Example, none of those Champions Lge group games were must win as a singular game. As soon as we NEEDED a result we didn't get it. Against Utd in the semi we NEEDED the result that day, and didn't get it, no 2nd chance. Yes we have beaten Utd, Chelsea, Arsenal, Liverpool in the league this year but all of those games weren't must win games. They were great to win but not do or die.

It could just be variance but some have latched on and are seeing it as a failing.

Apologies for the use of capitals, I think I might NEED a lie down.

That logic falls down when you look at the fact we have been in 1 final and 2 semis in 4 seasons- surely we must have won a fair few one off games to reach those points?

Even with that we’re going to go into the Leicester game needing something from it, so a huge chance for Poch to now show that he can get results when under big pressure to do so.

Of all the teams to play on the final day. It could not be worse as far as I am concerned. They have been in the Algarve for weeks, but they will be well up for it next Sunday. The chance to f#ck us over again.

Who came 3rd in a two-horse race, that will be nothing compared to who blew a 10-pt lead and finished 5th...they will absolute love it Keegan-style if they can throw the spanner in our works

Our last two games have suddenly become massive so we’ll all get a chance to see us perform twice under real pressure in the next seven days.

Im already looking forward to them not being counted as crunch games once we get the results we need...

But yes you are right, these are massive games now and i think if we fudge up from this position then it really will be a massive black mark against the team/set up and it's mentality

Fair shout. I was actually going to use the Swansea QF game this season as one example to counter the above. I'm neither here nor there on it tbh but I'd like the lads to put it to bed in the next 2 games.

Although I'm not sure how many games in each of the runs were against the big boys. If you factor in that variable too.

Arguably bigger than any of the others we've lost.

It could be far worse if we were away especially at a team with something to play for.

They may be up for it but they are a team in disarray with nothing to play for who we are better than. We should beat them.

This is fair but then it just comes down to a ridiculously small number of games to draw conclusions from - one-off cup games v the big boys, how many of those have we had? The 3 previously mentioned? 3 cup games against sides higher than us in the league and a CL cup tie v one of the biggest names in European football and we're supposed to see that as evidence of a deep rooted problem? Im just not buying it

It looks like the stars are aligning to fudge us up but if we don’t get top 4, even at this stage, it’ll be the biggest Spurs-up in history.

If we can’t get 4 points from Saudi Sportswashing Machine and Leicester at home, we really don’t belong in the CL.

Exactly. And that assumes Chelsea win both of theirs as well

I've absolutely no confidence in this team atm. You can all rip me to shreds for saying it, but we are going to throw this away.
