Harry Kane MBE

Doesn't look sharp in front of goal, but works so hard - and that pass was an absolute beauty. Credit to Huddersfield though, they made it really hard for Kane.

Of course not, he's still the best striker in the PL, but he is not at his best in front of goal ATM. Had he been as clinical this season as last, he would've had many more league goals by now, IMO.

That's an observation, not a critisism, BTW. No one is perfect in everything they do all the time.

All round play, strength on the ball has for sure.

What is great about this side is shown in that goal, Dele hustles the Huddersfield player into error, Kane gets the ball, Son is at least 10-15 yards inside his own half and busts his ass to get onto the end of a play he's expecting will get to him, Harry delivers and Son puts it away ...
 
Heh. He doesn’t seem to have the magic boots just at the moment, certainly didn’t tonight. But he should get them back before too long, and other aspects of his play are getting better all the time.

Been off his game for me for the last month even though he’s been scoring. But he’s still young and will have bad patches. I remember lots of fans wanting Shearer out of the England side before Euro 96 coz he hadn’t scored in 12.

I'm trying to think if this is his first real 'drop' in form that I can remmeber from him. It feels like he's just been going non stop at the same ridiculously high level for years now.

Don't get me wrong, his current level is still workd class and his all round play is still great. But he's just not putting away chances currently that you'd hjave expected him to even a month ago for example.
 
I thought he was brilliant tonight leading the line and playing the physical game well. He made there defenders work and basically cheat

Problem is as we know if teams can’t attack you, you don’t get as many clear chances
