Tottenham Hotspur Stadium - Licence To Stand

A football stadium doesn't do anything to aid gentrification. 60k football fans in the area making it impossible to get to or from anywhere is the last thing that anyone wants.

Essentially if you clean the area up with nice modern shops and houses it doesn't fit into that glum depressive dilapidated current sorry state of affairs it's called gentrification.

The locals should be happy, their property, if owned is only going to rocket above average.

Plus the new shops and restaurants should bring a crowd that know how to behave and live in society. Not a this asbo clad environment.

It's the best thing to happen. Shame on that government for allowing the misery to take place in that first place

It's the poor transport links that have made the place a brick hole. It is good that there is some money being spent improving the place but new stadium initiated regeneration is a complete myth.

Is there any sign of the roof going up yet? I am sure Levy said last year that we'd be able to tell how on schedule the build was by if the roof was up by the end of January

Starting end of January/mid February was what was said. Latest official on that is that they will start in February, and it will take 6 weeks.

I propose we turn the high road into a canal, and utilise a system of golden gondolas, poked and prodded along by local ethnic minorities.
*waits for Rock Strongo to insert a Simpsons monorail video*

Have a fvcking word with yourself will ya :rolleyes:o_O

Not necessarily. I live in Washington, DC and the building of the Verizon Center (basketball/hockey arena) and the Nationals baseball park completely changed the surrounding neighborhoods. You wouldn't be caught dead in them a few years ago and now they're the place to be.

Does anyone know where in the new stadium the "main" TV camera will be located? Trying to figure out whether we'll have the low bricky vision cam we had the last couple of seasons at The Lane, or the glorious high up one from a couple of years back. :D

Should take a leaf out of Wembley's book. Take up half the screen with the opposite stand and judge the VIPs for taking 20 minutes to come back after half time.

Pretty sure it's at the front of the upper tier of the East Stand. You can see an area there that's different from the rest.
