Worst. OMT. Ever.

The Europa League has to be the dullest competition anyone could ever hope to be placed in. The Johnstone Paint trophy probably inspires more awe for the fans who support teams in it then this ever could for anyone. The best we can hope for 99% of the time is battering some random team no one has ever heard off. The worst is getting beat by one of those teams.

This isn't a rant at the performance (we've been average but that's not the point) but at the competition and the fact it's become nothing more than a potential gateway to the Champions League. If we ever win it of course I'll be delighted, simply because we'll be in the Champions League, but I hope we also cash in by melting down the trophy and selling it for scrap so we never have to play in this competition again.

After a decade of playing 'the best of the rest' you start to get very bored.

With his pace ruled out, he's not really got a lot going for him, has he?

Not tonight anyway. He's had a couple of better runs, but no end product. To be fair that's the story of our team at the moment. We're not fluid in attack. Our confidence to make meaningful runs and passes in the final third doesn't seem to be there.

Funny how half the teams in the PL have the primary ambition to get into Europe and we don't seem to give a toss
