He had a fantastic work ethic, quite at odds with his flash public image. Was the best crosser of the ball in Europe and the world for 10 years.

Total prick as a person and the sort of cnut who if you saw in the pub you would walk to the other side. But world class footballer.

“No point to tell it,” he said of the Arsenal link. “Didn’t happen. Happened now.

“I’m so happy here that I couldn’t even think about the possibility to go to another place. You can put now in front of me any club in the world, I would not move.”

On Emery’s sacking, Mourinho added: “It’s always sad news. I felt it as a kid when my dad was sacked as a manager, I felt it myself when I have been sacked previously.

“There’s not one single manager sacked that I’m happy with. I always feel a deja vu situation. So I’m sad for it but that’s life.”

I’m sure this has been said but does anyone remember the puppet show Special One TV which had Mourinho as host?

This particular episode has Robbie Keane in it and features the long running gag in the show from when Mourinho refered to Wenger as a ‘voyeur’

His character was also underrated. When everyone thought he was preoccupied with other stuff and Capello cast him aside, he didn't moan. He put his head down, worked, got back in the side and helped them win the league. He did the same when McLaren spacegoated him. No toys out of the pram, he just worked to get back into the England team and did it. A tremendous professional who has my absolute respect.

    Ottawa, actually.
The funniest bit is the constant, running battle between Mourinho and the poor fourth official who has to keep telling him to get back into his technical area. :p

Also, that bit at 12:20 or so where Dele runs over to tell Poch something about a gap in the midfield that Mourinho then hurriedly converses with Sacremento over. That bit is pretty illustrative about how quickly Dele's grown into being one of Mourinho's on-pitch lieutenants, and it will be very interesting to watch how their relationship grows.

Finally, Mourinho appears to be doing blow, judging by him doing something or other with his watch at 16:50. :p

Clear to see eriksen and jan have no problem... It's out of order to suggest anything is wrong with cuckold.

As much as I did not want Poch to go I am glad Levy had a succession plan in place thus avoiding a period of uncertainty

I also think there was a period on Madrid when he had to fight for his place and turned it around too, which was after he’d agreed his MLS move.
My frustration with Beckham was the timing of his move to the US, I think he still had a lot left to offer as a player but the judgement on his career ended there.
The circus of the loan deals and the England cameos were annoying though, he was unquestionably committed to playing for his country but his number of caps was inflated as the FA knew kids would go to Wembley just to see him play.

Which is the sort of statement a few wanted from the previous manager.

Exactly. It was really enjoyable watching it that time. But it is very annoying to look at it now considering how we never turned up for the final.

I can’t believe I’ve just watched over twenty minutes of people just sitting on a bench and our coach barking orders - yet I found it totally interesting. I think I’d happily watch a whole 90 minutes of it:D.....

Not going to get carried away as we are all aware of the new manager bounce and more difficult challenges ahead. But is easy to forget he’s only been in charge for a week, so to get them playing more like their old selves is a good start.

Hopefully in the coming months he will get to shore up the defence a little more, then we really will look like a decent outfit....

Only in charge a very short time and two games a week giving him limited time to work on things on the training ground.

Results have been great, performances varied. Though varied is a clear step up from poor.

Will need time to really get us ticking, hopefully he can do just that.
