GHod I hope for a last minute rostov winner. Or perhaps even better, 1-1, extra time, a few more pulled hamstrings, and rostov winning the penalty shootout.
 
Man Utd, Lyon, Celta Vigo, Besiktas, Schalke 04, Ajax, Anderlecht and Genk into the last eight.

Man Utd huge favourites to win unfortunately.
 
Wow. Looking at that draw, we utterly f*cked ourselves here. A trophy we could have won. :(

Although, having said that, United got Anderlecht in the draw - if we couldn't beat a mid-table Belgian side like Gent, no way we were going to beat Anderlecht.

We have never won in Belgium as a club - their isn't a side there that's a patch on us yet we have never won there

How many games have we had against Belgian sides over our history? I know we've played Brugge and Anderlecht a few times (including the final of the UEFA Cup all the way back in '84), but do you by chance know how many games we've played in total?

I thought so too, but going by that wiki, we've played Anderlecht 5 times and Brugge 3 times - when you add that to the home and away ties against Gent, that gets to 10 overall, not counting any other possibly omitted ties; like against Genk or someone.
 
You know we should never have lost to the Normans, if Harold had of rested a few at Stamford Bridge we would have won at Hastings. We could have gone all the way in europe.

"Genk ?! who are they?" Amazing that these have got into the last 8 of a major European competition? Must have had an easy draw in the last round...let's have a loo.. Oh.
