Vincent Janssen

Apparently he isn't tough enough to get stuck in during fierce derbies, according to some in the weekend's OMT anyway (naively comparing him to Llorente).. LOL

I've not seen doubt about his ability to get stuck in or his toughness, it's more a matter of readiness and style of play. If anything, Janssen's problem was that he got stuck in too much of the time, turning most situations in to an overly physical battle and a foul for or against 30/70 ratio-wise. The shame is that his all round play got a lot better and mature in the last stage of the season.

I thought at the time of the signing, with Kane being the player he is, we needed (and still do imo) a pacy option that can play as a false 9 or alongside Kane who can really stretch the game. When it comes to next season, the idea of having the three strikers in the same squad just doesn't fit. Wish him all the best for this season, just think it's a shame he didn't take the tougher challenge of a PL loan especially considering he had started to look at the level required.

This is a problem for Spurs!
They have all been bloody useless!
Llorente is the latest contestant.
Let give the Spanish lad the normal bedding in time we afford in these circumstances. Before we add him to the ‘dud list’.

I have come to the conclusion we have players without brains. They are used to playing one way, to Kanes strengths which is great but when you get a striker who needs something different they are clueless. Some of our best crosses (Eriksen) fails to put the ball in the box and just works the ball around the centre, wing backs work ball back across penalty area and when they do cross, put it either over the striker or into the first man.
Janssen and Llorente to be fair have no chance to impress, let alone score until we learn to adapt our style to suit there style of play. We are better suited to a Defoe style striker, who can gain a yard and snap a shot off then a more traditional target man, yet this seems to be the one we are always looking for.
