The problem Nicholson faced was that many players in the "Double" team all needed to be replaced fairly soon afterwards.

And there was the untimely loss of John White.

The players brought-in, while excellent in their own right, found it hard to live-up to the expectations set by players like Blanchflower, Smith, Norman and Baker.

I don't think year 0 has any relevance. The 60's are merely the set of years where the 3rd digit in the year begins with a 6 - there 1960 through 1969.
