Football Trivia Question of the Day

i'm just throwing all the ones I can remember (from Champ Man most likely) in now, one more, Gent

Not KAA Gent either as they're also without a League Title.

Clue: The club in question won 11 Belgian League Titles before WW2, but now plays in the Third Division.

I think it probably should be Everton as I those aren't the right seasons for the 60s (which end in 1970). But I like the outcome so who cares.

I think it impressive that Nicholson topped the league table during his reign (1958-1974) when there were so many legendary managers around.

I don't know about that - the 1970 League Champions (Everton) were the first club to win the Title in the 1970s, not the last one in the 1960s.

That is a matter of opinion. All decades, centuries and millennia need to have ten, 100 and 1000 years respectively and there was no year zero. So 1970 ends the 70s just as 2000 ended the millennium. The non-calendar year football season complicates things but surely 1960-1970 (as in 1960-61 to 1969-70) makes more sense than 1959-1969.

Wait, so we collected the most points in the 1960's but ended up with just the one league title? Typical bloody Spurs. :)

That early 60s team really underperformed. Just look at the seasons around the double season and there is something familiar.
