He had two really good moments, the one that sticks out is the bout of possession that eventually led to Kudus' wild shot from the edge of the box. It came about because Odobert kept the ball deep and drew the Leeds winger and FB towards him, Udogie then sprange forward into the open space. It was a nice moment and real positive from Odobert and as cliche as it sounds not a piece of play you'd see from Johnson or maybe even Tel if they had been on the left. There is something to have having natural balance that makes things a touch smoother.

And to be fair to him with injuries etc in his first season he has not had the opportunity to have any sort of consistent game time.

Even just playing the last two games in a row might not sound like much, but will be a positive stride in his development....

It was nice to see that Odobert took on the captain's armband, when Tel was subbed off

It helps to track our players on-screen, if they have a nice bright arm band on. More captaincies, please.

France famously has a LOT of good forward players, so if Tel and Odobert are getting lots of minutes and being made captain, they must be well thought of.

Maybe, however he is nearly 21 and he is not that young. [compered with other like Moore, Bergval, Grey]. He has had a few injurys [ two hamstring problems] so he will have to overcome the worry of them.

I guess time will tell but IMO he has ability so good luck to the kid.

Think Odobert is looking better now. Taking players on, getting into shooting positions.

Not super effective obviously, but imo looking rather good with rather limited service. But the player he is now, if we could set him up one vs one with some space around him with a good frequency I think would look even better.
