***Tottenham Hotspur v Everton*** - OMT

El Dante

Les Ferdinand
On Sunday 26th October 2025, Tottenham Hotspur travel to the Hill dingdonginson stadium to take on Premier League rivals Everton. The match kicks off at half past 4, UK time, and will be televised live on Sky Sports.

I’m feeling apprehensive ahead of this one. Everton have real threat on the wings in Grealish and Ndiaye, while they have a strong central midfield ready to battle. I fear that unless Porro and Spence are offered support defensively then we could have all sorts of issues up against the two wingers.

Still, have to be positive at least ahead of time.

I’d like to see us play Palhinha and Gray in central midfield. I don’t want to see Bentancur there. He’s not on form right now. We’ve seen far better from him in the past. And we need at least one player that passes forwards.

I’d like to see Kolo Muani start as striker. Ideally I want Solanke to return but for now RKM is better than both Richarlison and Tel as striker.

I wish that Udogie was fit as I’d then want us to play Spence right back against Grealish and Udogie against Ndiaye. I’d think Porro could then play on the right midfield with Kudus in the number 10 role for this one.

I think we may need to have Simons on the bench as he hasn’t really made his mark yet so perhaps it’s better that he is given a bit of a time to establish himself with cameos before we then have to fully rely on him.

Anyway I think I’ve said enough for an OMT intro so here we go!! COYS

Always seem we play strange games against Everton, either very well, bad or dreadful boring games.
I think this will be a tough game which could go anyway, would like to see Gray get a chance in midfield and Muani as striker, we desperately need a focal point in attack as Richarlson has offered little.
Nothing would surprise me in this game.

Definitely both of these.

I'd go:

------------Vicario
Spence-Danso-Pahlinho-vdV
-------Gray---Bergvall
Kudus-----Sarr-----Xavi
------------Muani

Rest Porro, and try and find better balance on our left with a left footed LB. Experience at CB to balance youth at CM.

After the performance on Wednesday night it is hard to have any confidence whatsoever for Sundays game.....

How have we spent all that money in the last few years and yet still look weak in so many positions.... A lack of cohesion exists, apart from passing backwards, all over the pitch.

Monaco played some lovely stuff on Wednesday and I cant really remember the last time we played like that....

What with so many games coming up , we need some rotation of course, so very hard to try and think what team Frank will pick so I'll give mh team.....

Vic

Danso Paulinha VDV

Porro Bentancur Sarr Spence

Bergvall

Kudus Muani

Whether those players are all still fit or have energy I dont know but the current set up is not working.....

P.s. I am extremely grumpy and sat at Amsterdam airport waiting for a delayed flight back to Norwich after going to the Monaco game - my word, we were so poor.

Will likely be ugly to watch, but we live in hope that in the end, we will see...gettyimages-128003693-1632499523.jpg1194389-0hairychest.jpgimages.jpegraquel-welch-portrait-from-the-film-everett.jpgs-l1200.jpg

I'd play a front three of

Richy Muani Kudus

I'd have Scarlett off the bench (Cuti said in the fan forum he rates him - says a lot for me, give him a chance)

I'd have Sarr, Pahlinha, Bergvall in the middle (cos we have to play Gray at LB which is insane)...Pedro needs a breather, later as a sub...

My head tells me this has draw written all over it, my heart says we'll win 2-1

Steffen, I think that lady's brassiere is about to fall off.

Do you all remember March 1st 2023? When a stubborn Sheffield United side edged past Conte's Spurs to win 1-0 in the FA Cup, due to a very well taken Iliman Ndiaye goal? They progressed to the Quarter Finals, we went home in the drizzle. Even Kane missed a late chance.

I told you at the time that Ndiaye was a good prospect, but the N'Sayers turned their N'oses up at another N'winger. They said Spurs should have won, because we'd just beaten Cheatski in our chase for top 4. Two and a half years later and people are saying Ndiaye is a good player.

I'm great me.

Also a bit like when Spurs lost to Monaco in 2016 when they had a midfield of Fabinho, Bakayoko, Moutinho and Bernardo Silva and Radamel Falcao up top but ohhh noooo Spurs are supposed to beat Monaco because we're Spurs.

If only people would recognise my crown as King of Hindsight.

Anyway, COYS.

Ndiaye is exactly the kind of player we need

If Frank makes any more than 2 changes I’ll be surprised.

Vicario
Porro Danso VDV Spence
Palhinha Bentancur
Kudus Xavi Odobert
Richarlison

1-2 loss

Lets start dominating the possession and get our full backs pushing up and whipping in early crosses at every opportunity. Cause Chaos in the box and have Sarr, Kudus, Simons and Muani in there to try and get some shots off. Bergval on the edge ready to recycle or have a dig or 2 from outside the box and have Palinha ready to mop up any loose balls. With the full backs crossing early they would still be far enough back to help out with any counters.

Klopp made a successful team with Liverpool by just giving it to the full backs at every opportunity and crossing the ball in.
