Was not a fan of his books as it is not my genre. But the way he brought attention to demntia was important. He died of the same disease as my father and makes me think of him.

Seemed like a really good guy who brought joy to lots of people, I am kind of glad like my father he went quick unlike some who seem to suffer for years.

I am currently reading his Long earth series he co-wrote with Stephen Baxter, it is nothing short of amazing. A massive loss to literature. Even more so for Fantasy and Sci-fi fans like myself.

Only read a handful of his books, but I enjoyed all of them. Certainly a very funny and very smart writer. Shame for a brain like his to be held back at a relatively young age by a terrible disease like that.
