Thought I would make a thread for football leagues not covered by their own threads. To start off, I found something I can't get my head 'round in the Belgian league.
Anyone care to explain this table? I know they split the league at some point, but the table makes no sense whatsoever!
Union Saint-Gilloise should lead with 78 points, Anderlecht 77 and Brugge 71.

According to wiki they start the playoffs with half the points they won in the regular season, rounded up to the nearest integer.

I found an article about it now, and it was hilarious reading how complicated they made it! The team that finishes 7th can get a place in Europe, but not those finishing 5th or 7th!
