***OMT Tottenham Hotspur v Liverpool***

He certainly isnt now. He is a classical 9
He's become that true, I don't think Marmoush is as good honestly, but I see similar traits. If given time and the right components around him I think Marmoush can work. We have to get the other part right though. I'm harsh on Solanke because I don't believe he's a real solution but sometimes he might be the best option, but mainly I think Maddison, Savio, Kudus and Fernandes all need to be on the pitch and firing. That's the template. Will it work? I don't know, but I see the idea.

I thought he was ok today. That run into the box and pass should have resulted in a goal.
He also was either denied by a worldy save or should've scored. Far better cutting in from the left. This is where Robbo can be very helpful to our shape until all options are 100% and we can play Savio and Kudus in the same side!

Would anyone be interested in Alexis MacAllister? Contract is up in 2028 and Liverpool apparently not going to offer him a new deal. Player a lot of games as a #10 for DeZerbi at Brighton.

We got rid of our last Argentine clam .. guy is a fudging clam .. glad Tosin wound him up

Tosin looks good and steady. I like him. Maybe as standin RB too, as Archie was beaten too many times

Gray is good at 90% of being a FB, he gets exposed at top end of pitch (makes good runs, but not necessarily good decisions), and he's badly exposed 1:1 as a FB (never should have let Gakpo turn inside for the goal, Isak murdered him on a take on later in the game). Not blaming him, but people who think he's anything more than cover at RB at this level are missing a bit of the picture.

Well regardless of result I enjoyed watching us play football, our passing was good and broke the line multiple times with some really good moves against an aggressive press - that's not something we have been good at for some time.

Also encouraging was the fact only 2 of that team started the league game showing that the whole squad is adapting to the way RDZ wants to play. Obviously you have to criticise the finishing, but to outperform Liverpool on all metrics at Anfield (bar the most important one of course) isn't something we usually do. Impressed with Tosin on his debut, and thought Bergvall did well. Definitely things to both work on and build on, and hopefully can break our duck against Villa....

Completely agree. I think if anything we are already seeing some small signs of gelling. Should have had 2 goals in first half.

Our players just don’t have the ability to strike balls like theirs, or to finish.
Doesn't matter if they "gel" and are able to play themself out of a phone booth. None of our players have a hunger for goals. And even if they wanted to score, they can't hit the target or miss the keeper.

We need players who, no matter what, just wants to put that GHod damn ball in the net! Want to win at all cost! We don't have a single player like that. They just want to play. That will bring us nowhere.
Actually that's not right. It will bring us straight down to the championship.

We need a real goal getter first thing in the transfer window. Preferably two, because if we only sign one, he'll get injured in the first training session.

We've all seen us play much worse at anfield and get tonked 3-1, the score flattered them, that game could have went either way.

I never thought we were going to win though. Plus I thought as Ive said before the performance lacked the aggression I've come to expect from RDZ teams.
