Just a random thought for discussion...with the horrors of what is going on in the entire Middle Eastern region (and, indeed, surrounding parts of Asia) is there the possibility that we are seeing the end of the Gulf Arab states buying into European football? Has there already been enough irreparable damage to their economy, energy, and tourism that the flagrant billions to spend will no longer be there (at least short-term)?

Of course it's the end.....why?..just as we need a buyer with ridiculous amounts of money still willing to overpay for us and remove the Lewis's and reverse our descent into the abyss. That's why. :)

Possibly that region, but oil money was always going to die off at some point.

I think we will still see the more unsavoury underpinnings of financial products and leveraged buy outs.

At least oil is a tangible product.
