Bale + Lennon + attacking full-backs

Off course crossing, let alone good crossing, leads to dangerous situations.

That said, it would help, if the entire Spurs Squad was given a lecture in the concept "ATTACKING THE BALL". As opposed to wait for Walker and Ekotto to hit you square in the forehead from 30 yards out while you stand around shrugging your shoulders.

What the fudge do we pay Les Ferdinand for anyway ? Surely he of all people can see it's off.

they need to be in the box for that...not hanging outside making trailer runs (VDV) or hugging the touchline from both sides at the same time....(wide plaers staying wide. although if i'm honest bale has been much better this season with getting into the box abit. )

but granted we do still need to try attacking a space for where the ball might be. but i still think we dont have enough viable options in the box

The game at QPR showed exactly that they have no tactical sense - they went inside when they should have stayed wide. All the time, more or less.

They don't threaten the opposition backline, because they aren't amongst the opposition backline - rather they are 5-20 yards from it, just stepping on the toes of Parker, Modric and VdV.

There is nothing wrong with coming inside. When you know what you are doing. Bale and Lennon doesn't. Which is why they shouldn't.

It's not about the wingers or VdV. It's about everyone. No Spurs player ever attack the ball anymore, no in the air, not on the deck.

Even with VdV's recently somewhat improved corners we have 4-6 players in the box, but not a wholeheartedly tracking the ball from the kick trying to either make contact or disrupt opposition players doing so.

We barely even compete for 2nd balls unless they drop in front of us.

But since that's another thing impossible doing stats on, no fan or TV pundit ever gets that point either.

not the game at qpr. sorry for the confusion....i mean when QpR came to us at the lane.

their performance for me was as good as i could ask of them. in which case i know they have the potential to do it and i feel that under different management they would apprecaite it more
