Almost like the formation is secondary to getting the team to gel, confident etc? Frank likes breaking fast. But we aren't very good at it yet. We might need an extra pass before then trying to hit people on the break. I think you just have to look at how the manger works, becuase most of that...

Yes no easy ball out of defence with attackers trying to play off the last man. You said everyone was behind the ball? But sometimes there are man up ahead of the ball - arguably too far ahead of it as we need one extra pass in midfield to make time/space to pass into the final third. Lots of...

Sometimes we have too many men forwards and no easy ball out of defence. So not sure it is so simple as playing higher up the pitch. Frank needs to stick to a setup for now and finesses it. Choose one (max two) formations/tactics and then simply play and refine it for 10+ games.

    Thomas Frank - Head Coach

With stability, our recruitment could look a lot better. Our signings dropping into an established structure would help. At the moment, through injuries, new system and letting Kane and Son go, we don’t have many ‘corner stone’ players. Frank should be able to build from our defensive line...

So what are you suggesting? Which formation would sort us out? You ahve to build on something consistent. Constantly changing isn't going to solve a problem which is most likely a lack of stability. We need to build off a defensive foundation and be patient.

Are all club situations and players the same? If no, then why would the solution be the same? Why would you discern that the manager has to show that they deserve time, and what does that look like? You win lose or draw.

Isn't that obvious? It is to sign ready-made players. Or show patience to develop the players we have. What shortcuts are there? The idea that a formation can mask inexperience and issues with ability is flawed. Winning breeds confidence. We don't have many senior established players. Which is...

Essentially, we’re all divas now! I do get it, Spurs is meant to be an escape from the everyday. Or at least it should be. When performances are flat and start to feel routine, the natives inevitably revolt. Personally, I don’t think the manager is as crucial in the short term as some make...

Why so coy? Is it a hangover of not wanting Ange sacked (definite correlation of those bemoaning Frank who were pro-Postecoglou). A kind of see I told you so! Or are you hedging your bets, wanting to stake a claim so when things go wrong you were ahead of the curve 😀😅 Isn’t it simpler just to...

Even in games we've dominated, like Prague, we've failed to convert midfield play into goals. If you don't think there is an issue in the final third I'm not sure what you're watching! Last season Ange had to deal with missing the heart of the defence for a large chunck of the season. This...

Is that a weird way of saying you think the manager is the problem, and missing Kulu, Maddison and Solanke aren't important?

He's had 16 league games! :D The problem with your 'the manager is the problem' hypothesis is that he's punched above his weight as a manger. BUT he was given time, and didn't excel at first. The other problem with your approach is the myriad managers we've sacked who've been very...

So why are performances so bad? You’re suggesting everything is fine for the manager and the manager is the issue?

With a full compliment of players we would be a lot better. Injuries have hit us hard this and last year. Ange and his school-yard press didn’t do us any favours long term. Frank is now picking up the pieces of all our attack having been replaced over the summer (much like @Bedfordspurs is...

Yes structure and coaching are vital, but a managers first job is to get to know their players. As well as get new players settled. How would you achieve structure and coaching quicker by ripping things up and changing everything again?

Stability and time are the only cure.

    Yves Bissouma

Not having Bissouma (madders and Kulu) leaves us light in midfield. But it doesn’t seem like there is a way back for him. Now we know the reason he didn’t make good on his potential - there was a lack of application. Turing up late to training, partying etc When you make young guys in their 20s...

    Thomas Frank - Head Coach

I think we are playing in a more attacking way to make up for being so unpolished in attack. Leaving us more exposed. But the whole team needs to settle. We’ve made some silly individual errors that cost goals. The first two we conceded against Forest aren’t a coach messing up, but players...

I was thinking he might gas the opposition, leading to improved opportunities all round :tearsofjoy:

    Thomas Frank - Head Coach

At other times you've said you like Frank because he can adapt his style of play! Frank doesn't have one style of play, and can be flexible. As to what he is trying to implement now, he is simply trying to come up with a winning formula with what we have. And that is an attack that has been...
