Yeah, he did struggle today with no time and space. He was good in the last 15 when we had threats elsewhere on the pitch which afforded him some breathing room. Hopefully with Xavi coming in we will have more for the opposition to worry about.

Well that was brick. Expected a tough game, but not that tough. It was men against boys for 75 mins. We atleast made it a contest in the last 15. Udogie, Odobert and Bergvall made a difference. Hopefully Frank learnt some lessons though. That midfield 3 was strong and functional but totally...

Three upgrades to the first 11 and one in the dugout too. What a great summers business.

Great draw for us. No excuses not to progress.

Liverpool have looked utter gash here. They weren't great against Bournemouth either. Salah anonymous too.

Really bad challenge and totally unnecessary.

    Brennan Johnson

Fair play to him. I'm not a big fan of his but today he was more involved in general play than I've seen for a long while.

It's quite bizarre that we have this hoodoo over them. 7 wins, 2 draws and 4 defeats in the last 13 apparently.

What a start to the season. Defence and midfield looking solid. Just need a bit more creativity and we will be cooking!

Loving Palhinha. Does all the ugly stuff so well.

If you can get through the midfield City are not great at the back. Need to be brave and keep getting at them. No hiding. And is Ederson injured or dropped? Trafford looks weak.

Lol! City have gone to pot since we took the lead.

Fair points and I hope you are correct.

Bold from Frank and very surprising, to me atleast. We can't afford any passengers at the Etihad.

    Eberechi Eze

Yep. Jim White wasn't really listening though, just trying to goad and sensationalise. (Yes, I get that is his job, doesn't make him less of a numpty though).

    Eberechi Eze

No way the goons are coming for him just because of Havertz injury, thats coincidental. It's been lined up for ages. They were probably told by Palace that they wanted a replacement in first and that they wanted him to play tomorrow night's game. So they just sat back and waited until the right...

United been the better team by some distance here. Cunha and Mbuemo causing problems.

    Richarlison

Looks reborn. Amazing what a proper pre season can do. If he can stay fit we don't need to look for another striker.

*** OMT Tottenham Hotspur v Burnley FC ***

A lot of trust put in Gray and Bergvall here. Clearly Bissouma is still on the naughty step. I like the team though, with the exception of Johnson. Odobert and Tel seemingly not impressing enough, which would explain the Savinho, Eze links.
