***OMT Tottenham Hotspur v Saudi Sportswashing Machine, Saturday August 29th, 5.30pm, Tottenham Hotspur Stadium***

Its been two games and I think by halfway point of the season we will be wondering what all this fuss was about :)....

***OMT Tottenham Hotspur v Saudi Sportswashing Machine, Saturday August 29th, 5.30pm, Tottenham Hotspur Stadium***

On the bright side, we have a fair few decent options off the bench if things aren't working/need to freshen things up....

That's always the early diagnosis at our club, and before you know it you don't see them again for the remainder of the season :D...

Well it's clear RDZs preference is footballing CBs over defensive nous and ability. Love Kev and wouldn't want to see him go at all but in a season with no Europe would make sense for him and us if not going to really be used. What it does do is put huge pressure on RDZs attacking system to...

All summer all I've heard is 'It won't happen' - we wouldn't sign Tonali for so much money, wouldn't sign both Tonali and Fernandes, not signing Mamoush when we're getting Savio blah blah Let's wait and see, this summer we have delivered....

    Savio

Yeah fair (although I don't think Kulu is coming back to that level anytime soon) but we lack players who can beat a defender one on one and he can do that - Kudus for all the hype on here doesn't do that often, and he isn't particularly quick. He will be our most exciting player having seen...

    Savio

He is and always was levels above what we had. Just basic armchair analysis coming to conclusion he's not up to much because of his City numbers when he's just one on a long list of players not used correctly under Pep. He will be a star here and nothing to do with him scoring against Charlton...

    Lucas Bergvall

That's why I'm trying to separate what I thought his attitude looked like vs what he did with the ball. I just thought his demeanour looked poor, didn't look like he wanted to show why he should be there. But I accept totally it was a bad day all round hence why I'm not going to be over critical...

    Lucas Bergvall

To be fair Marty not going after him, literally said 'wary of criticising individuals when it's a bad performance all round'. But there are valid concerns that are allowed to be highlighted - we still don't know what type of midfielder he is, that's not all on him of course. But the fact every...

    Lucas Bergvall

This did stand out a bit for me too. I'm wary of criticising individuals when it's bad performances all round, but considering he wanted to leave and has been given the chance to prove his worth his attitude appeared poor and more bothered about that side of things than his actual performance on...

Happy to see him stay as I think he has some talent undoubtedly. But don't know what he's supposed to be exactly and that is a concern considering the amount of time he's been here now. The way people were losing their brick about potentially selling him for around 50m was crazy considering...

    ***Tottenham v Brentford OMT***

Ah I've missed this! The real football is back, threads full of how brick everyone is, how manager got x y and z wrong. Hopefully not too long before the threads are littered with how wonderful everyone is :) Obviously the optics weren't good yesterday, but let's be real we are undercooked...

Not even sure what the big gamble is supposed to be, our net spend is nothing out of the ordinary....

    Lucas Bergvall

And there was me reading on here we were just selling these players to get money in before we can spend more  Fact is if player is wants to leave we will get rid, absolutely the right thing to do. Delighted he's staying, big talent....

Sure I just don't see what the debate is - Levy operated his way, the 'Nepos' doing it a different way. Levy's way took us to some big highs but we plateaued and began to fall. The way the new regime are acting is like that you would expect of a serious football club who want to achieve things...

    ENIC

Yes that's basically what I meant - people getting wrapped up in the net spend and whatever are missing the point, that was never the issue. Long may it continue.....

Don't see what the big debate is - we are moving in a different way now, and from a footballing perspective it's more positive. The only question is whether we sustain it or not, but in regards to how we moved under Levy it's apples and oranges....
