    Standard charges need to go aswell. When my mum was ill i stayed there basically for a year. Only the fridge on in my place still had to pay £28 a month standard charge. Joke.

    At the end of the day if solar really was the cheapest energy source in this country. All the largest companies would be installing solar and cutting themselves from the grid. Or even supplying the grid.

    Chernobyl was built 6 years before fukishima. Even so at the time neither thought anything would go wrong. They both had safety measures in place. It was unforseen. As they usually are.

    Bet the japanese said the problems with chernobyl wouldn't happen today due to tech advances, when they built fukishima. Never underestimate the chances of a fudge up.
