    Interim manager thread 2.0

i thought the Guardian article was pretty poor. Some good points but no detail to back up the overview. No mention of injuries, no mention of causes of decline, such as Levy working without a Director of Football and trying to do it all himself...no mention of the shocking refereeing decisions...

    Roberto De Zerbi *OFFICIAL*

If he can get a tune from our bunch of numpties...welcome to the madhouse, Sir Roberto, I bid you welcome..

If we appoint his guy I have only one concern, and it isn't ethical. It's can he get our group of players to WIN 3 games?

    Interim manager thread 2.0

Roman Polanksi and Armie Hammer people definitely avoid their back catalogues because of their crimes as examples. And listening to the operas of Wagner? To me, the arguement that you avoid the output of creative people because they were not saints is crazy. It is akin to condemning national...

Clearly some of you have strong opinions against de Zerbi, but far more relevant, was he a decent coach? Did he get Brighton to win games? All that matters is whether he can motivate this misfiring team, coach them to act as one, and in particular to DEFEND AS A UNIT??

He chose to play Greenwood - that's enough for me If Greenwood had not been convicted of a crime, and he improved the team, surely that was the RIGHT thing to do? Not playing someone who has been accused of a crime is hardly fair. You are innocent until proven guilty.

We're an absolute shambles of a club But we won't be singing that when we stay up!!

Well..at least we know now that it WILL be a new manager. My money is on Dyche or Southgate...be happy with either but Southgate would shade it as he will have more authority....

    Interim manager thread 2.0

First off I hate these "moral guardians" who adopt woke positions towards managers. If saving us from relegation meant the temporary hiring of a chauvinist, or indeed a dubious character of any sort I'd take it in a heartbeat. If it was about being a "decent man", TF would still be here. Second...

    Would relegation be that bad?

Our wages to turnover ratio being sensible is another thing we should always have been thanking Levy for.. On the contrary, if DL had been less tight, we would have signed better players and not been in this mess...

On a side note, it wasn't very fair on Conte I thought that after his explosive rant (after an away draw) he just jetted off to Italy and effectively sacked himself?

    Would relegation be that bad?

What Finney has done is really interesting, albeit scary. Spurs' accountant would have work to do with P45s to get our salary costs under control. Maybe mothball the training ground hotel when England or other clubs don't use it, fire half the ground staff, etc etc - go right back to...

If the sages on here can't agree a candidate, how the heck will the Board get on? Sean Dyche anyone?

    Interim manager thread 2.0

Ok so I think some of you are angling for someone with recent experience in the league , and who is available right now? Someone who is thought of as a decent man. Perhaps someone who has worked with some or even most of our players? Someone whose CV shows beyond doubt that he has managed a team...

Some of his crossfield passing yesterday was sublime, ridiculously good. Whatever happens we need to keep him.

***OMT Tottenham Hotspur Football Club v Nottingham Forest***

One of the reasons that I was, and am, far far less down after yesterday was that I thought we showed great spirit and fight in the first half. As usual we got absolutely nothing from that referee in the first half when we were on top for good periods of the game. I know that is on par for him...

Opinions that only Spurs fans will have?

That one day we will be great again.

I think the 2 for one beers in the ground from 12.15 to 1.30 will go down well, I shall certainly take full advantage.... Spurs and free beer, Daniel would be horrified!

    Igor the Departed

All depends on how well he does over the remaining games of this season. If we start winning, get a winning habit, and the team feel comfortable with him in charge, then of course he should be considered. Maybe he's the solution, we won't know till the season ends.
