We're going to do it. There - I've said it.

Not a bad idea. If we need someone to run up blind alleys and cede possession around the 60/70 minute mark, who better? 😀

Good to hear from a Hammer perspective, Tommy, and I totally agree with what you say on VAR. May the slightly less worse team survive!

Fair point. I’ll let you know if I agree with it at 6.00pm on Sunday. 😀

The 99% there perhaps helps to balance out his minus numbers where he actually is in charge.

I’ve got a ticket. Trying to get to sleep at 1.00am this morning I resolved not to use it, and to leave my phone in the house while I went on a long dog walk. I’ve now slightly revised my plan to getting to The Bricklayers 3 hours before the game and getting pis sed before taking my seat.

Or a lot of fans of rival teams popping in for a laugh.

I'm not a believer in the conspiracy against us. I think VAR has complicated things to a level now, though, that no one in charge seems to know what they are doing and I agree that rules are now being twisted to fit poor decisions.

If you're referencing the EL Final I'm pretty sure I was confident from the QFs onward that we'd win it. We were bad, but the other teams in it at that stage were worse. Unfortunately, there is every chance that Everton will be better than us on Sunday, especially given our home record over...

It's why I'm really worried. We almost always crumble under pressure, and Sunday will (in footballing terms) be about as much as players, a manager and fans can be under. It's why I think we're going to be reliant on Leeds.

I agree, but personally I'd take a Hail Mary option on Sunday - for his own good as much as ours. He so clearly has zero confidence and is not cut out for a league in which players don't get any time to dwell on the ball. I feel sorry for him really.

He's made the ulitmate deal, one which allows him and his family to literally make as much money as they like.

As long as we keep Muani then I'm happy.

I struggle with anyone watching Muani in that first half and thinking that he was making any sort of positive contribution.

I get it a bit too, but for me it's been about changing the energy on the pitch in the last two games. We saw it lift considerably last night as soon as the changes were made. Unfortunately they obviously happened just after the second Chelsea goal, so a bit late.

Slightly worrying that he even feels he needs to say this below, although I suppose he has to say something... https://www.theguardian.com/football/2026/may/20/de-zerbi-tells-spurs-to-play-for-their-dignity-in-final-day-relegation-battle

This. I haven't enjoyed watching us for over two years now, for the very large part. No matter what happens, I just want to see us getting back to winning some games at home and playing in an enjoyable way. My overriding feeling before and during the game last night (as it has been for months)...

Ditto. We’ve spurned chances to put it to bed and now have 1 point from the last 6 - and two fairly mediocre performances in gaining that. West Ham have been good at home of late, only losing to Arsenal. I have a very bad feeling. Anyhow, off into a staff room full of Arsenal fans. (I think...
