If we are serious about challenging for a CL spot next season we need to be setting our sights higher than Mateta and Woltemade.

Fair enough. Personally I still blame him more than any other individual for the past 9 months of gloom, embarrassment and anxiety which has aged my soul ten-fold during that period. But you’re right, time to move on. Love and positivity instead of hate. Let’s just not sweep his tenure under...

Thomas Frank - Former Head Coach

I was never excited about someone whose biggest achievement was an 8th place finish. Whether it’s the Tottenham way or not (btw I include Poch in this who played attractive football while also having a good defensive record), Frank almost made us the laughing stock of the global sports world...

Thomas Frank - Former Head Coach

And yet one of them had the whole world including Robbie Williams and The Fonz raving about us, gave us dreams of winning the league and did win us our first major trophy since ‘91 (the league cups don’t really count). The other was the wettest of wet farts whose replacement, a fudging...

Thomas Frank - Former Head Coach

Yep. I don’t understand the “oh well, we almost got relegated but he’s a nice guy so we’ll let it go” thing. He f***ing sucked. He was the most anti-Tottenham coach I can recall and he had us playing apologetic football…”oh, excuse us if we try to score too, very sorry if we hurt anyone’s...

RDZ plays a more controlled system than Ange’s kamikaze-ball. Go back and watch his BHA team control games thru possession-based football. It doesn’t have to be this-or-that. You can still play front-foot football without being reckless.

    João Palhinha

Again, I have no problem with him but he’s not the long-term solution. If his transfer is only 5mil then sure let’s pull the trigger, but if it’s 30mil then I would have concerns given his age and fit for a true RDZ team. I watched BHA quite a bit under RDZ as they are my local team growing up...

    João Palhinha

The “easy tiger” comment was about building a team around him. He’s a 31yo destroyer with limited on-ball abilities. No doubt he’s been incredibly important this season, probably my POTY, but looking forwards I hope our plans are to improve on this position with a more complete player. The old...

Having Kulu back, assuming he returns as good as he was, is a new $60 mil signing. Having him and Madders is $100mil. Add Kudus, that’s $150mil of attacking talent.

    Pedro Porro

Congrats to Porro for making a very, very good Spanish squad. However, he only has two years left on his current contract. He’ll either have to sign a new one or we move him on for good money, knowing we have a very capable replacement already. Win:Win situation.

Paratici and Langhe as a team was never going to work. I struggle to think how that role can be occupied by two people and be successful, and certainly not with two as diametrically different as those two. I don’t imagine they had dinner together often.

Easy tiger. No doubt a hero for this season but he does have significant limitations in his game, along with being 31 I believe. I’d like him in the Hojberg “closer” role as well as being a starting option if we keep him. If we don’t, we have Gray who has a higher ceiling.

    Next seasons squad

Just read that he tore a hamstring tendon May 9th and will miss the WC. Shame for him as I think he is a terrific player. I would like to see him in lilywhite if his recovery goes well. Super player.

    Next seasons squad

He played 2,603 minutes in the PL for BHA this past season. 24-25: 28 starts 25-26: 19 starts. Pair him with a developing backup (Tel) and job done. Outside of Doku he’s one of the best LWs in the PL plus has played for DeZerbi before. Only one year left on his contract too. We could do a...

    Next seasons squad

I don’t think it’s fair to pull stats from our initial injury crisis to prove a point. 21-22: 69 goals 22-23: 70 23-24: 74 (Ange) 24-25: 64 (Ange) 25-26: 48 If you deduct the 21 goals from his last 21 games, then we had 43 goals through the first 19 games of the 24-25 season. I think it’s...

Give credit where it's due, and the Jan signings of Big Kev and Kinsky last year by Langhe have proven to be very, very valuable squad additions. (but he can still f*** off now)
