    Mathys Tel

Yeah he's only just come back from injury, he is a big talent but not the finished article. He would walk into our side on the left, very skilful and I don't doubt he will end up being a top player. But all irrelevant now, he's not coming here....

Kretinsky isn't the owner of West Ham. There was rumours he would buy out the others to become owner but never happened....

    Mathys Tel

Savinho played 29 games for City last season and hasn't been playing for City this season because he's been injured and has just returned. He is far far better than Tel or Odobert, we really don't have that much talent on the left hand side hence why Simons has to be shoe horned onto that side...

They are doing it because the fans are staging a mass protest by avoiding going to the Brentford game. So the board are worried about all the empty seats and traction the protest is going to get, so trying to entice anyone to come and fill the seats:)....

    Richarlison

I must say, I think I am guilty of underrating Defoe in the past. I always remember him fondly as a striker who scored a good amount of goals and overall a good player. But not long ago I watched some Spurs seasons videos of the time of him Keane and Kanoute etc were around, seeing all the goals...

    Xavi Simons

I agree he's best centrally but he is fine on the left too. He will look better on the left than he has done when it's Udogie who's on the left with him rather than Spence. His clever play and cutting inside working in tandem with Udogie hugging the touchline with a natural left foot will also...

*** OMT Tottenham Hotspur v Brighton & Hove Albion FC ***

He came on last ten minutes against PSG and from what I saw second half was still up top vs West Ham. Let's put it this way, he hasn't had much of a crack there under Frank (might be intentional as he sees him as CF)....

Agree. To be fair Tel hasn't played left winger under Frank though....

The 'If You Still Need to Purge Yourself Of Ange' Thread

Frank had all pre season to give all his squad games and know who can do what to an extent, Ange hasn't had that luxury - I don't think the two are comparable, that's why managers always talk about the importance of having a pre season at the club. But yes I'm not sure Ange will last that long...

The 'If You Still Need to Purge Yourself Of Ange' Thread

I think that's harsh. Firstly, he needs to have a look at his squad - he's not had a pre season with them, it's better to do it in the League cup than the league or Europe. And secretly he's probably happy to be out of it, not saying he wanted them to lose of course but they don't have a...

*** OMT UCL Tottenham Hotspur vs Villarreal ***

When the pass quite clearly isn't on. There are times when his passes get intercepted and you go fair enough because he's trying to play through the lines, a lot of the time it works and sometimes it doesn't. Then there are other times when he plays a flat out bad pass which is most likely a...

*** OMT UCL Tottenham Hotspur vs Villarreal ***

Must admit I was critical of the squad depth last season, but we had a good window and much better depth now. You even forget Solanke, Kulu and Madders are completely out of the equation at the moment. Of course a couple of them are loans but either we keep them on or make some new signings in...

*** OMT UCL Tottenham Hotspur vs Villarreal ***

I agree, and a lot of the time I don't mind him taking the risk. Sometimes it's just plain stupid though. He's going to make more mistakes because of the way he plays, but that doesn't change the fact they are mistakes. And thats just the passing alone before we analyse the defending. All in...

    Thomas Frank - Head Coach

No, Villarreal themselvesminimised their shots on target. We were fortunate in many ways, including VDVs foul at the end. If you want to bring Ange back into this if he was managing last night people on here would be going on about how poor the football was and how lucky we were. Let's not...

    Rodrigo Bentancur

He was the standout for me. It didn't look like he was ever returning to his previous really good levels pre injury, but back end of last season there were signs and he's continuing this season and was still full of running at the end....

*** OMT UCL Tottenham Hotspur vs Villarreal ***

Don't have it in for him at all, I'd say he is our best defender. That doesn't negate the fact he makes a lot of mistakes and takes unecessary risks, to say he rarely makes mistakes is to be polite questionable :)....

*** OMT UCL Tottenham Hotspur vs Villarreal ***

Rarely makes a mistake, are you joking? He played a hospital pass into Tel against West Ham that led to a big chance for them. And don't get me started on all his errors last season. Back end of last season and start of this season he's been better, but that's a ridiculous statement.....

*** OMT UCL Tottenham Hotspur vs Villarreal ***

Our overall football needs to improve. If a team matches us physically in the air as Villarreal did whether it be by set pieces or open play - then the rest of our football is pretty ordinary, and it's not just true of this game. Simons and Spence shouldn't be playing together on the left IMO...

    U23s, Academy and Loanees

Is that not quite normal for this level of football? I don't follow it as closely as some of you, but whenever I look there seems to be a lot of high scoring games (not just Spurs)....
