As I said, we’re a bigger club than the majority of the clubs in the pyramid. We’ve underachieved in terms of silverware in the last 20 years. Smaller clubs aren’t expected to win stuff. Nor does it appear to be their aim. Most non-PL clubs want to either consolidate their position in whatever...

We’re in a position because of our history and stature that means we should be winning trophies more regularly than we have done since 2000. Clubs like Crystal Palace and Bournemouth don’t have the same expectations. Clubs even further down the ladder won’t ever win anything. The other 72...

You’ve got to actually win things as well. Let’s hope we can build on the trophy we won last season.

We have been more successful in other eras in terms of silverware. Consistent league finishes are great that alone isn’t success.

In some areas they have, commercially, the training ground and the stadium. On the pitch which is the most important part hasn’t been as good. Transfers is another area that at times has left a lot to be desired.

That’s debatable. We’ve made good strides but your definition of success is clearly different to mine.

Look this is going round in circles but compared to other Spurs forums, twitter, social media etc I’d say this place is pro ENIC. Not sure how I’m supposed to quantify it really. That’s just my opinion.

Look at the outpouring over the last 10-15 pages. IMO it’s pro ENIC based on the number of posters who stick up for them. I just find it funny that those posts tend to fly under the radar. But challenging a post of that ilk seems to attract more posters responding.

I don’t know enough about Cambridge or York to comment. Norwich seem like a well run club but again I don’t follow them closely.

IMO this place is pro ENIC on balance. I don’t want an echo chamber, it’s not good in any walk of life. I do find it funny that more posters don’t find an issue with statements like people who think Levy did a bad job are thick and saying other clubs are doping 😂 either they must secretly agree...

If they weren’t competing for 5-10 years then yes I’d say they were doing a bad job.

No, they’ve been a sizeable club for at least 5-10 years, they just rubber stamped their status as an elite club by winning the CL. Ditto Emirates Marketing Project. Forest and Villa haven’t been relevant in terms of challenging for major domestic or European honours for 30 years.

Not solely but trophies are the true currency of success. It’s a huge reason why so many players flock to Real Madrid and Barcelona. We went trophyless for the first decade since the 1940s in the last decade. We are a big club but we are not a mega club. You have to have won more league titles...

Again this won’t go down well on such a pro ENIC forum but it’s not unreasonable to think that. On balance he did a good job but not good enough on the football side of things which is why we support the club.

Hmm I think the right are just as adept at causing damage, look at the riots. after the Southport murders. When the left loot its not looting its justice shopping.

I’m not going to wade into the St George’s flag debate, but calling people thick because they disagree with you about Levy is pretty snobbish tbh. And there are many people who wanted him out but still acknowledge he did a lot of good work btw. But the decision making on the football side of...

Barking up the wrong tree with views like that about Levy mate. So now anyone who thinks after 25 years would be time for a change is either thick or the bad guy.
  18. Jurgen the German

Spurs never won trophies under Levy wah wah wah

We were a much bigger club than Emirates Marketing Project until they won the lottery. People have short memories. They were the quintessential yo-yo club for much of the 90s/2000s.

Spurs never won trophies under Levy wah wah wah

I take the point about trophies arguably meaning more and feeling more special the less frequently you win them, look at the outpouring of emotion when Palace won the FA cup for example. And yeah winning the EL would have meant more to us than United fans who win more frequently than we do, but...

Similar sized. Spurs and Everton were both part of the ‘Big Five’ in the 80s and both underachieved in the 90s and early 2000s. But I wouldn’t say Everton were bigger than us.
