    Ange departs

I didn't like the way Ange bristled at the suggestion his role was in jeopardy, the "why am I even being asked about my future?" comments. If he couldn't see that our "unacceptable" (his word) league position was reason to question him, it meant he is out of touch. His arrogance and self-belief...

Contingency planning : we've found our guy

The fanbase united against Gattuso in a way I've seldom seen before, Nonsense, just the Twitterati, I couldn't give a fudge about what he had said about women and football in the past

    Ange departs

I'm sad because IF Ange was prepared to employ the best coaches under him, and let them organise the structure, while he just acted as a kind of motivator, it might have been great. But maybe he thinks there were no issues to address...

    Ange departs

I wonder what Ryan Mason told Levy about Ange? Praise or scorn?

    Ange departs

If Ange wasn't going to change the way he sets up the team - he had to go. Sad but true.

    Ange departs

The league went to brick in the first instance with all the injuries....caused by the kamikaze defending we do because of his ludicrous tactics. What is the point of all our high-intensity pressing and turnovers leading to scoring goals, if we leak more goals at the other end???

    Ange departs

Chris Cowlin reckons that 70% of fans want Ange to stay - his sample being the 2600 who voted on his channel, but whether that is representative, who knows, it could include fans of other clubs! It is a genuinely tough decision - you'd have to be sure that a new manager could cope with 2 games a...

    New Kit?

Only seen the white version - yuk, looks like a pyjama top, not quite vomit inducing, but pretty hideous at first glance.

Contingency planning : we've found our guy

I'd forgotten that Ange will have won himself a CL bonus, I was just thinking about the EL Cup bonus- and I did have the sneaky thought that maybe Ange prioritised the Cup because he thought he wanted to earn that EL Cup bonus. Well never know how much financial ambition drove Ange down that...

Donna Cullen gone...first of the changes?

I just wrote on another thread, could be coincidence but the new man will re-shape the board, so now is the time to leave if you'd rather not report to him....

    Vinai Venkatesham - CEO

I wonder - is Donna Cullen's resignation a co-incidence, or is it the new CEO starting to reshape the Board? The fact that there's a new man coming in to lead the business may have prompted Donna to think that a less pressured life might suit well suit her....

    Ange departs

I saw a graph which showed we were top (or thereabouts) for intensity of sprints done. If we lose so many games, I'm tempted to say "What's the point of all that sprinting?". Wouldn't we be better getting the players in positions where not so many sprints are required, especially defensively...

    Ange departs

Maybe the answer is to get someone in directly under him that will implement their own tactical system and coaching and use him as a motivational man manager. I really thing that could work if we get someone in that’s really good. Ange's ego wouldn't allow it.

    Ange departs

I thought it was interesting that Maddison was talking on his golf day, and remarked of Postecoglu's self-belief that "Its probably his biggest strength". I guess when you lose so many games, you need that self-belief. And if Ange honestly believes that he can reinvent his approach to win in the...

    Rodrigo Bentancur

Bentacur did one outrageous piece of skill on Sunday, can't describe it but sheer wizardry. We forget he had what - 7 games out with a ban? At his best he is a superb footballer, and if he isn't out with injury, his inclusion in the midfield will surely give us more wins next season.

there will be some supporters who will also howl at every misplaced pass, Welcome to WHL - it was like that in the 80s, when I started going to the Lane. I'm gradually coming round to accepting that Levy will see the Trophy as a watershed moment, and give Ange another crack. Personally I doubt...

    Ange departs

The question is whether, given the limitations of our squad, a better coach, who has experience of managing 2 games a week, and of winning, is happy to join us? We don't need another Conte, thinking he's doing us a favour.

    Ange departs

To be fair to Ange, there have been some bizarre situations this season - Bentacur's suspension, Biss's laughing gas (I think that was this season?), Micky and Romero coming back from injury and not lasting a game. Odd, odd very unhelpful stuff. But is Ange tactically astute? Now that the...

Tottenham Hotspur 2025 Europa League Winners !!!!!!!

Fortunately I wasn't aware any Spurs fans are dissing this cup. Any trophy, let alone a European trophy is certainly not to be sneezed at, but for us, who have been deprived of what older fans like me regard as our "rightful place at the Trophy Table", this Trophy is a mini miracle. Of course we...
