    The combination of dribbling, combination play, vision (head up rather than head down) and good ball striking is rather rare. Maddison has some of that combination. If Simons signs and fulfills his potential he'll be a special player for us. Or top top as some would say.

    Agreed. Part of our problem that also has been Johnson's problem has been the lack of complimentary skills, lacking balance. Kudus made that better, Maddison's injury made it worse, if this signing gets completed it again makes it makes it better again and potentially much better with Maddison...

    I'm sure Levy didn't enjoy that. I also think had Arsenal gone in for Eze early on and that thing never happened we'd be seeing the same strategy from the club with Simons being one of several targets.
