Anyone can play any position. The question is can he play it well. That remains to be seen.

When I say Johnson is poor at the basics, there you see it.

I don't know if I agree with your take regarding missing Palhinha. Yes Gray is there but he's not currently half the player or even half as effective as Palhinha in the role. So if we were to lose Palhinha for any significant period the drop off would be considerable and noticed. I don't think...

We want a top quality player there now? Neither Odobert or Tel are that and Tel possibly and probably never will be.

Barca didn't let him go, but yes PSG did.

If he were generational we wouldn't be the ones signing him.

I didn't comment on PSG 😆 But let's be realistic PSG are at the tip of the food chain. They were signing lots of players looking for the immediate answer. Simmons didn't turn out to be that for them.

Barca didn't get rid. He left as a youth player because PSG offered him a better deal and Barca weren't using La Masia graduates properly at the time.

The majority have similar or better players ready and he's ready been at Barca and PSG.

My priorities before presson for this window were in order. RWF (Kudus) CM (Simmons can do a job here) LB AM (Simmons) So 2 out of the 4 ain't bad and you could even argue it's kinda 3 our of my 4 depending on how exactly we play Simmons.

You're probably right about the merchant bit and yeah not what I meant. Moreso he's very good at spotting runs and playing passes into the space for them to run on to. Honestly he could be the making of a player like Johnson who despite me not really rating I know he makes great open space runs...

A big change from the gruesome twosome of Sissoko and Winks. 😂

    Xavi Simons

I think his ceiling is absolutely higher. His game is more rounded than both Eze and MGW. He's press resistant, can genuinely dribble and ball carry and most importantly he can play both as a tempo setter as well as final third killer passer. He's also significantly younger than both. A move to...

He's also a through ball merchant. His vision is fantastic, and he has the technique to pull the passes off. If hes able to play in the PL physically we've got a bit of steal. He's the most talented AM we've been linked to and the one I really wanted. It just seemed like he was Chelsea's the...

I didn't think it's a reason to lose out on a player necessarily, but they are more prestigious and winning competitions serious competitions is more of a pull than a fancy stadium all things being equal.

Chelsea are 100% more prestigious. 2x CL winners in the last 15 years and 4 Pre ier League wins in these player's own lifetime. Yeah it's not really debatable anymore mate.

Champions League 25/26: Dortmund, PSG, Villarreal, Frankfurt, Slavia, Bodø/Glimt, Copenhagen, Monaco

That's quite a tough run of fixtures. Some good names and teams in there. We are going to have to really play at our best to get a good points return.
