Think the extent of that was the opinion that being successful in minor leagues doesn't mean you're going to be successful in the PL. I remember saying something similar regarding Mourinho & Conte in that success with big/rich clubs doesn't mean they have skills that will transfer across to a...

    Thomas Frank - Head Coach

Googling seems to suggest resignation but yes mutual consent also, that just means amicable departure/agreed terms.

Was he sacked? I thought he resigned

    Thomas Frank - Head Coach

Who was the last to step up and fail? Top PL clubs don't tend to go for managers who have proven themselves lower down

I doubt what we saw in the first ten games was the design, far too early for a team to be up to speed and rolling out the managers ideas

Not necessarily - the right manager with the right tactics and the ability to get those ideas across can work with constraints but what they are implementing needs to work first and foremost.

I've got no problem with managers who live & die by their tactics - it's the way a lot seem to work these days. However '& die by' is the pertinent part of the phrase here, he couldn't get the team playing his tactics after 2 years so here we are

Were either of those clubs using those cup wins as justification for keeping a manager in his job? So it's not really comparable is it? That's the only reason the context of the EL win is a talking point. Were everyone confident with the direction of travel under Ange it'd barely get a mention...

I think our xga was quite low at the beginning of the season, or at least in comparison to our xg at the other end, but the eye test says to me that the way we were defending was not sustainable as it relied on too much last ditch defending, eg too many balls over the top giving teams numerical...

How long would you have given him to get the team playing his way? It has been two years and there's been no progress towards the team playing in his style. PL clearly just a step beyond where his approach is effective

    Ben Davies

You need 1 or 2 club men in the squad at any one time imv, young players have spoke of how much he has helped them settle and I'm sure he takes on plenty of other responsibility off the pitch. As long as he's a back up to the back ups, which i think he is, then there's not a problem. I'd say...

Paratici has been involved for several seasons, officially/unofficially and Lange is going in to a third season - seems pretty stable. Regardless as with managers & players people in these roles can and do come and go.

Stability can only come with progression - ok i get that you guys see EL win as that but the league performances suggest otherwise. The moves we've made off the pitch and there being an actual transfer department with an eye on the medium to long term means there needn't be wholesale changes -...

Contingency planning : we've found our guy

You was asking why Frank is an option given his lack of achievements (trophy success) when Ange was written off despite having success previously - Fernadez was pointing out that Frank is an option because of his performance in the PL with the implication being that previous successes aren't...

The level we were at under Poch - this time around we'd be better positioned to cement that level due to the resources we now have available.

Aren't Hotel builds usually financed by the hotel chain themselves - I'd imagine the clubs outlay would amount to a nominal amount to purchase the land (negligable here as part of the stadium land purchase) and maybe some early enabling works.

Imv a good/the right manager should be able to have us in that position with the resources available
