    The Official EURO 2012 thread

It is a possibility that they found out that van der Vaart is an incredibly overrated footballer, but it does sound like something has happened off the pitch if the rumour holds any truth. Good for us if true, shame for Rafa if he stops at 99 caps for his country.

Pirlo nearly makes it tempting to watch Italian football. Nearly.

    OT: What next for Harry?

Far less unlikely than Chelsea. That's a laughable rumour.

    The Official EURO 2012 thread

Quick note on yesterday's game; Pepe is probably the best centre half in the world at the moment. Biggest **** in football, but what a player. Germany were quite impressive today, but I thought Spain looked even better against Ireland if one can compare the two games. Would love to see them...

    Harry Redknapp: The Aftermath

Really? You really can't see how this is both a bit provokative and a bit funny considering the discussion you're having with nayim? I think you do.

    Funniest. Joke. EVER.

Yeah, Spain winning a tournament would be sensational.

    Daniel Levy - Chairman

He's absolutely brilliant, the main reason why we're as good as we are at the moment.

    The midweek/weekend games thread

Don't want to sound like the average Liverpool fan here, but I'm pretty GHod damn sure that was the end of our little honeymoon. We're suddenly really unattractive to play for. Margins and football, fudge me.

    Annus Horribilis 2011/2012 .............................

If we finish 4th, we've done a hell of a job building a quality team over the last decade.

    Liverpool thread

Not neccessarily a bad thing, could be regarded as a chance to "start over". The problem is the quality of their midfielders, Henderson, Kuyt, Spearing, Maxi, Downing and Adam are simply not good enough if they want to compete with the best. They've messed up badly the last couple of seasons...

It's still absolutely incredible that Henderson is on stand-by instead of him. Henderson is a fairly brick footballer.

    Harry Redknapp: The Aftermath

That's an assumption on your side. There are tons of quality managers out there that noone would call charismatic, even on a good day. Benitez comes to mind.

    Harry Redknapp: The Aftermath

It's not that straight forward. I don't think RDM is the most charismatic guy in the world either, but it seems to work. Chelsea is an extreme example though, the club is filled with ****s of the highest order. We don't have that at our club. If we do, they're terribly good at hiding it.

    Harry Redknapp: The Aftermath

Charisma is important, authority even more so. I wouldn't pick a fight with David Moyes.

    Harry Redknapp: The Aftermath

Fair enough. The way I see it, we can't pick from the top of the shelf which I guess is one of the most solid pro-Harry arguments. I think there are several managers in the Premier League which could turn out to be brilliant for us (RDM, Martinez, Lambert), but possibly with the exception of...

    Harry Redknapp: The Aftermath

Am I wrong to want him after his spell at Chelsea? Is that.. cheating? I remember thinking that WBA sacking Di Matteo was unfair at the time, although I do understand that they wanted the safety that comes with Hodgson. I've read and heard several times that Di Matteo is an unusually bright guy...

    Harry Redknapp: The Aftermath

I've seen your political views in random. No. ;) I do agree on Martinez. I think there are several very promising managers in the Premier League at the moment. Di Matteo would be my first choice, but Chelsea would be mad not to appoint him permanently now(?)

    Harry Redknapp: The Aftermath

You won't be reading this, but jerkiness? How is having a different opinion than you jerkiness? I have lots of opinions about our club I know a lot of people will disagree with, hopefully they'll all put me on their ignore list as I have no intention of discussing anything with people like...

    Harry Redknapp: The Aftermath

I answered yes, although there is not chance in hell it's going to happen. It's not our performance this season I think warrants giving him the sack, I'm genuinely scared that he'll mess our club up badly if given enough time. I am - mildly put - not very convinced by his ability to think longer...
