The Official 2024/25 Premier League Thread

You're absolutely right, but few give them a chance as hardly any manager is going to put his job on the line by playing them in the first team and loans rarely work out for same reason. We need a league that offers young players games against experienced players not their peers, the gap is...

    Ange in or out?

I agree, when I played (yawn now) I start in the "W" formation 3-2-5 to 4-2-4 then 4-4-2 finally 4-3-3, being a defender didn't make much of a problem as I was never asked to play in the bizarre zonal marking system.

I agree with your thoughts, we must remember to most he was a mug out of his depth and never good enough for Tottenham.

    Pushing Up The Daisies

When I had my Christmas reunion with old school mates none of the 6 of us were still practising Catholics and only 2 had their kids go to catholic schools. Following really fallen away in the Irish community.

    James Maddison

An outfield player commits a foul if he goes through an opponent to win the ball how is that different?

    James Maddison

He's not, he's coming out for a ball he's knows he's not going to get, making a big barrier hoping the ball hits him, if a forward crashes into a keeper hoping he was going to get there first and doesn't that's a foul and reckless same rule applies.

    James Maddison

I think the keepers arms are spread out wide rather than going towards the flight of the ball which suggests to me he's not going for the ball and it's a reckless challenge.

I've found that with most pro rugby players, I think socialising with fans after games helps keep them grounded, it helps that the fans aren't nutters.

U18's 2-0 ht Williams-Barnett at it again catches keeper out of position and chips it in from about 40 yards.

    Ange in or out?

Football is all about money, I may be wrong but I think since the "Champions (and placed teams) League" only 1 team outside the elite clubs has won the league, the money that and dubious owners have poured into the clubs virtually ensures their places at the top. Football like most sports is...

    ***OMT*** Tottenham...Thursday Night In Frankfurt

Being an old fart and remembering the magic of travelling on a steam train I watch these railway shows. In reality my memories were probably influenced by us going on holiday and not the nightmare of daily commuting. Like most travel shows they bare little relation to reality as the traveller...
