He had a funny game, good defensively, mopped up well. Good positionally and always willing to receive the ball and with that you could see his passing vision to do little give and gos. But my word was something of passing execution awful today, he was constantly playing teammates into trouble with passes that were just a bit too short. Its not something i've noticed before from him with that frequency so I think it was probably just an off day and hopefully he gets he pass pacing sorted out because otherwise you can see he has massive potential.
The partnership with Tonali looks like we are suspected, a pairing thsat go toe to toe with pretty much anyone. Great top see and hopefully its now the go to starting pair as decent as Bentancur was earlier in the season, Ferandes can take that game up a level.

I thought the first 10/15 minutes he started that way but after that I thought he and the whole team were excellent, really grew into the game. I thought he was outstanding looking over the whole 95 minutes though.

Not really a downer just being honest. Maybe my post wasn't that clear because EU thought he had a great game, just that a lot of the time he played short passes poorly. If you didn't notice fair enough but it was definetly there. Despite that he had a great game. If he gets his pass pacing right he will be bloody fantastic and probably world class and I'm not someone to get too excited about a player but I see his potential.

Really looks the complete package, he did give the ball away a couple of times but he was on it constantly.

You’re not wrong. I thought he was outstanding but there were a few very loose passes that put us in trouble while him hitting the deck first half in our corner flag could have cost us. He showed he can be massive for us but it wasn’t a perfect performance by any means.
