I think it depends whether you have a strategic product management / sales and marketing mindset or whether you're in the finance team and are tracking this quarter's bookings. I can promise everyone that if our club get their culture right and get the right relationship between player and employer that will be infinitely worth way more financially than a couple of quid lost on Richi in this period. I think you know we never had that £35m in our back pocket anyway and what you write above is revisionism. That can only happen when 2 clubs and 1 player + agent are in full agreement with the terms. That was never the case in any of the speculated deals with Richi or he'd be long gone.
Personally, for a change I just want Spurs fans getting behind their club. I don't actually get the Richi sympathisers.
I would rather focus on the football side of things though. We had this before with Harry when he was injured and everyone proclaimed we were in deep doo doo. Then we score as many, if not more goals, with Dele, Son, Eriksen and Lamela operating as the 4 main men. If we had to step out onto the pitch with Savio, Kudus, Madds and Tel can we make it work? That then brings you back to what RDZ was talking to Tel about after the last game. He was just encouraging to be the striker and act like the striker in key situations.
