If there's no Tonali and no Mateus, who will take it?

For me, 90 million or even 100 million is too much.

If we don't sign these two players, I could see Wharton signing, but that would likely be extremely expensive.

I like two German players:

Felix Nemcha and Stiller.

For me, Nemcha has a similar style to Bellingham in terms of his playing style and physique.
Stiller would also be a great opportunity.
What do you think, and who do you see?

João Gomes.

It's not our money, the club has made it obvious this is who we/RDZ want, the owners claim they will invest. If we overpay by 10M-20M and we get 5th next season, it pays for itself.

If we don't get one, it's part of football, miss both again after last summer and it questions how we do our business.

Stiller is who the data says makes sense, @Bishop call on Joao Gomes is a pretty safe call.

The fact that he is Italian makes Tonali a more likely choice in RDZ's eyes.
Manu Koné is a superb player and available for less than the Italian.
Rumor has it that Adrien Rabiot is also on his way out.
Do you have any news on the Palhinha situation?
Alex Scott is eager to fight for our badge, but his price tag is really high—as is the case with everyone else, for that matter.

Alternative to Tonali should be Alex Scott.
Alternative to Fernandes should be Manu Kone.
Could you explain what Alex Scott brings that Bergval doesn’t? Alex Scott has 4 goals and 2 assists in 80 appearances for Bournemouth and an average rating of 6.9 for the last 3 seasons. That doesn’t suggest he is a player we should rely on if we want to push for the top 5/6. Alex Scott is supposed to be a player who plays further up the pitch than Tonali.

Can see my my post was confusing as I specified them to each player. But it’s about what they bring collectively to the deeper Centre Midfield roles in the squad.

Id be more than happy to keep Bergvall. I rate him very highly. I’d rather we spend the near £100M on a top quality centre forward on #10 and the rotation is Ferdnandes/Kona/Other, Bentancur, Bergvall, Gray.

But it seems clear Bergvall is leaving and we want to sign two starting level CM’s.
