What actually irritates me far more than anything here is him stepping down “due to his mental health”.

Stop using mental health as a card you play to try and gain sympathy and in the hope that the press will leave you alone. Completely trivialises all the people out there with true mental health issues who struggle to gain any sort of help.

Little reform boy doesn’t count, you don’t have issues with your mental health lad, you just need to grow up.

Nothing screams they're all the same more than this type of story, I think Johnson claimed he'd lost his for the critical period of the covid inquiry.

Surely people at this level would have back ups turned on, about time this sort of thing was properly managed.
 
Sad state of affairs in the UK when a clown like Farage is the the leader of a party leading in the opinion polls . He is now accusing Manchester Police of a cover up, the Returning Officer made a good point why if these observers saw something wrong why didn't they report it to polling station staff at the time.
Maybe sour grapes has something to do with it ,Reform couldn't beat The Greens who want to rejoin the EU.

It sows the seeds of doubt and election fraud so that he can continue grifting when they don't win the next election .

He can then claim establishment conspiracy and ask his griftees to keep splurging, without having to shoulder responsibility.

Absolutely.

I honestly don't think Trump wanted to win first time round, he just wanted a decades worth of grit opportunity and being the never-returning-prodigal-son-that-would-right-all-the-wrongs but was prevented by the establishment from doing so.

Then he got in and started working out just what he could leverage from it.

Then it was a combination of absolute greed and asset stripping combining with staying out of prison.

Farage's worst case scenario is probably actually winning outright. Being significant in opposition gives him money, media coverage and no responsibility.

I know what you are saying, but most people don't backup anything.

I've been in the IT industry for three decades, that message has never cut through to the general consumer.

Like you say regarding proper management, it is a much bigger issue that such communications are happening over WhatsApp in the first place, that is where the problem is, they should be in a corporate platform.

Back ups are turned on by default I believe - you'd hope politicians and senior staff are intelligent enough to leave them on and understand the importance of keeping records of their work.

It's just one big cover up, the public are being mugged off again - I agree if they can't manage whats app properly then they should insist on something else though I expect it's hard to enforce.

Backups on iOS rely on your iCloud storage, which for most people is the basic 5gb, easy to fill that with photos and not even notice.

WhatsApp can’t be managed at all. It should not be in use for government communication. I’d question the motives of anyone using it in such circumstances.
