Which will likely mean being always available for Argentina's friendlies but having a 101 niggles in between... as happened before Qatar. I used to love the guy and still have massive appreciation for his role in the EL triumph. But I get the feeling that he now feels he is bigger than the club....

Part of why I really want us to keep Romero at the club for at least one more year. Can understand selling him, but potential downsides for the "cycle" if we're not moving in the right direction come the end of the season.

Selling at the right time should be part of our strategy, we haven't always gotten that right in the past. But not sure this is the right time for Romero.

My opinion is that if there's 2 years left on the contract, you need to sell if the player isn't planning on signing a renewal. Of course, I have no idea what is going on behind the scenes.
Rumors that Atletico put in a 55m euro bid in, but again, no idea what's going on there. This is one of those deals I'd want done earlier in the window so Frank can plan for the season ahead accordingly.
