I think you're drawing conclusions that justify your point of view, even though there may be other explanations.

I too wish we would play faster, but whether that's an Ange instruction or just not enough space forward, I do not know. I'm not at the stadium to see the entire pitch all the time.

Trying to undo a keepers glove is not a red card offence. Smashing someone in the face is violent conduct. VAR will get involved and highlight violent conduct. Again, I’m sure you actually realise this?

As I said repeatedly .. I do
But I also know that refs and var bottle these calls
They would be too busy debating if the ball is in play
It would also leave a legacy of how a keeper can deal with this kind of “infringement”
Remember when we drew with Arsenal 2 all and Lehman gave away a penalty for launching Keane?

Not sure you have said that you do repeatedly to be fair.

VAR would not bottle a call for somebody smashing someone in the face. VAR intervened to send off a player at Man Utd when he did far less to Lamela.

Also aren’t you actually arguing against your own point here with the Lehman, Leane example????

Sorry mate but if you think VAR wouldn’t pull up a player smashing another in the face as violent conduct and a red card then we’re on a different planet.

For the record I really DON’T want our keeper to smash an opponent in the face. We struggle enough defensively without the keeper being red carded and us going down to ten men.

Ball does not need to be in play. If you commit an offence they is worthy of a red card, you get a red card, regardless if the ball is in play or not. You can get a red card after the game is finished.

I know the rule. I get all of that
But it’s now at a point of doing something has to be better than doing nothing
Vicario is literally being passive and standing on his line panicking. Him taking some physical action to counter the physical action on him has to happen otherwise he will concede more and more
You and Finney are getting caught up in the smash him in the face comment which is me making a passing remark. He needs to do something because right now he is the only one who can fix his issues

And don’t forget VAR didnt intervene on the dangerous and reckless push on Romero when he went for the header…. It’sa shambles as to how they pick and choose what to call

Yeah, He needs to be a bit more powerful and aggressive. Push them away, really powerful. It will at least get the refs attention, and I think we need a player there to protect and help him too.

We need a higher quality of attacker and mysteries to mind it quicker. I'd do get in some players with a higher level of technique we'll be able too more consistently move it with speed and precision.

He needs to be assertive in his actions rather than reactive
Pushing, pulling, moving, shouting… even hitting the deck.
Instead he is focussing all the time on the incoming ball which is too late
I think he is an outstanding keeper, I really do but this is such a big issue and has a mega impact on us

That's the entire thing, about all the FA rules. I wouldn't have a problem with a rule restricting scoring with your left foot, as long as it's consistent.

Opens it up to interpretation, which is the opposite of what a rule is supposed to do.
