    Realistically I think we have to beat Wolves, then the timing of potentially the next two matches could really be a huge advantage, Villa is sandwiched in between their semi, then if Leeds can beat Chelsea in the FA cup this weekend we play them five days before the final.

    The Gallagher signing for me emphasises that at no point did tweedledee and tweedledum realise we were neck deep in brick and that they had no intention of sacking Frank, they likely saw him as a upgrade on Sarr the way Frank was initially setting us up.

    For me it’s not just about next season, it’s more about the long term. It’s the fear of ending up at the back of the waiting list and potentially not getting a season ticket again for years. Conversely, if I were an OH+ member and offered one I’d snap it up regardless of the price next season...

    It might seem unlikely but if we secure four points from Brighton and Wolves the Villa game could actually be very winnable. Unless they collapse on Thursday it’s sandwiched between both legs of their Europa Semi, their priorities might be elsewhere and with a bit of momentum behind us...
