    In 1990 Swindon Towns promotion to the First Division. They were demoted to the Third Division (League One) but then on appeal got put in to the Championship. Thats the closest thing to this.

    Posted this in the Prem thread where it is being discussed as well. Burnley just successfully sued Everton for £40M based on loss of revenue from being relegated in 2022 when Everton had breached FFP. The total loss of revenue for Burnley was £58.5M. So they won approx 68% of lost revenue...

    That’s not for the Premierleague to sort. They will determine a financial and or sporting punishment. Once that’s taken care off, the clubs can take legal action. But as per the Burnley v Everton case, only the ones that have a direct, clear and non hypothetical impact will go anywhere.
