I liked Erik Lamela before it was cool

Superb again tonight. Its difficult to talk about individuals as the general bar has been set so high but Lamela really has been outstanding since the turn of the year.

Absolutely. So important for us at the moment. Still think he can do more in front of goal, but his impact is undeniable at this time.

That stamp on Fabregas...take a bow son. Take a bow!!!

Was it a stomp though? From the replays it looked as if Lamela was quietly running by, when Fibreglass threw his hand up for some reason, hitting Lamela's studs. I could be wrong though. The reaction was hilarious, straight in the face of the official, trying to have Lamela sent off. Typical Chelski that.

Not too sure about Lamela quietly running by! But it is a nonchalent stroll past and maybe he didn't realise Fabregas had his hand there....

I love the way Fabregas first manages to hit out at Lamela's shin, then starts writhing around clutching his knee before deciding it's his hand that he wants to complain about. Hilarious and pathetic all at once.

Love Lamela's expression too - says "Again?! What are you moaning about now?"

He has become a player I never thought he'd be with us. After two seasons of nothing, I thought he was a busted flush. Can't think of many players in those sorts of circumstances that have turned around such a bad situation. Fair play to the lad and well done Spurs for sticking by him.

Lamela showing how the dark arts are done. We need a couple more Argentineans in the squad. :D

Other than a two footed stamp on Wheelchair's face, I'm not sure a man can do more to endear himself to Spurs fans than this? Well played, Erik.

Although clearly he's looking the other way so it's entirely accidental.

I swear a read last night on a Goon forum that one of them said Lamela was their new hero....

That's how I saw it as well.

Yup me too... As well as never looking in Fabregas' direction he also doesn't change his stride at all - pretty much impossible to do if you are actually trying to step on something.

As an aside here I am hoping to see Fabregas' ridiculous reaction, rolling around on the floor set to some music.... Perhaps an old early 80s breakdance tune would be apt?

Do not suppose this is relevant to breakdancing but it sums up Fabregas to a tee.

I think he saw it, and did it while looking away. Not a stomp, just a foot on hand .... wtf was Fab doing anyway?. The comedy appeals were hilarious.

I'm sure someone can do a vine .... what music to use, though?
