according to Redknapp we shouldnt expect trophies, only 2 league cups in 20 years is proof of that

so that excuses Redknapp's four years in charge and no trophies

its all about Saint Harold

Just listening to Poyet on Al Jazeera saying how we should remember that Juande Ramos won us our last cup and how it's not easy to win cups. Also went on to say how he and Ramos deserved to be sacked.

fair play to Gus....see thats a guy that can take responsibility for the good AND the bad....send the tape to Harold

we have players in modric and van der vaart who require tactics and formations in order to get the best out of them. sticking van der vaart on the right, modric on the left and bale in the middle is a fudging joke.

not learning that 442 gets your well and truely raped is a joke. everyone can see it on here, it happens time and time again and still no end in sight.

not managing our resources to wins over stoke, wolves and norwich at home is a joke.

bringing in dads army and leaving us smack in the middle of totally unecessary transition is a joke.

missing the games against liverpool cos your in the old bailey and then beliving your own hype about england and showing zero commitment is a joke.

the lack of commitment, i believe, is contagious - players like modric and bale will also be thinking im outta here soon - fudge it.

the attitude and focus in any organistion - be it football or not - comes from the top.

its really time that it all stopped. what are the apologists excuses now? chelsea are five goals better than us? arsenal? wolves? norwich?

If Harry had a shred of dignity he would offer his resignstion tonight. If he does'nt he should be sacked tomorrow regardless. We are a sinking ship under Harry and 1000000% will not make 4th with him in charge now. Get someone else in with a clean slate, hell, ANYONE and our chances of making 4th will improve. Of course its still hard, but im convinced the players will give more in the next 5 games then they will to Harry. The season IS over with Harry in charge. Anyone who thinks otherwise is kidding themselves. Look how Chelsea's results changed with a numbnuts like Di Matteo in charge...........same players as AVB but they are playing for him.

fudge me, im begging you Spurs, we need a new man for the last 5 games.

Redknapp can take some blame, yes, but if your strikers cant score to save their lifes, and the ref allows goals that arent...

Having said that, starting Cudicini was his biggest today. Ridiculous choice. We're already shaky enough at the back, why bring in a new keeper?

We were too open again and we needed sandro to start.

We're playing a very offensive tactic with playmakers all over the pitch but no one can put the ball in the net. If youre playing for goals without scoring, you're in trouble.

Yep it's another doom and gloom thread, but if it helps me vent then I don't really care.

We've enjoyed the highs. And for me, they have been some dizzying highs compared to what I've grown up to expect. The Champions League. The "title battle" for 2 thirds of the season. Some of the splendid football we have played over the last few seasons. But it looks like Harry will go to England. I don't think the current rot will cost him the job.

However, I don't think he has shown he has been able to stop the current rot. The players are struggling. He has not been able to instill the belief they had before. They have been rocked, and I and many other Spurs fans now have huge reservations about our ability to dig deep and finish in the top 4. We are on the cusp of an absolute mother of meltdowns. How a side can go from title chasing form to relegation form in the space of 2 months is simply phenomenal.

So we have a situation where we may well finish outside the top 4. So this is what we are left with:

1) Harry gone to England.
2) Modric (having already expressed his desire to leave), re-iterating this once more
3) Bale attracting vultures to pick at the rotting Spurs caucass.
4) Ledley King (31), verge of retiring
5) Brad Friedel (40)
6) Carlo Cudicini (36)
7) Gallas (34), Nelsen (34), Parker (31)
8 ) Adebayor the only semi decent striker at the club returning to his parent club

So.
-We have to attract a new manager.
-Quite possibly need to buy at least 1 top quality goalkeeper.
-Need possibly 2 top quality centre backs (possibly including Caulker)
-Need to buy a top quality striker (STILL AFTER 100 YEARS OF LOOKING FOR ONE)
-Possibly buy a replacement for Bale
-Possibly buy a replacement for Modric
-Buy serious backup or competition for places for the likes of Lennon and if he is still here, Bale.

Daniel Levy, you have got a seriously busy summer ahead of you to make sure we don't end up as the next Aston Villa.

Harry Redknapp looks like he might have left a huge trail of destruction and a horrible mess through his transfer policy.

It's not all doom and gloom. We still have decent talent dotted around the club. But HOW do we change the age old problem of changing the mentality of this great club.

(I really really do hope we can scrape Champions League, but it is hard to see where we are scraping our next win out from).

Our collapse aside, what on earth are we gonna do next season? Our two goalkeepers are somewhere around 100 years old in total. We got King, Gallas and Nelsen at the back, all crooks. Our only striker of some quality is on loan. We don't have cover for our two full-backs or wingers, and Modric is gone this summer. The re-sale value of our fringe players have gone down dramatically, and there's no way we can afford to buy at least one new goalkeeper, a new CB pair and two new strikers who can keep us up there among the best teams, not to mention cover for the aforementioned positions.

Could get the board in trouble, I'd change that to crocks if I were you. ;)

His transfer policy has fudged us nearly beyond repair - dying cloggers on massive wages.

He leave us in a fudging mesa - just like he s done with jusg about every other previous club.

We are fudgeD. Proper. Modric and Bale are most likely gone already. 4th doesnt even guarantee CL - and even so - they will never realistically challenge for trophies with us bar the odd cup run

Assess the situation at the end of the season; CL is a major possibility at this current moment.

Even in the event we DO get CL football. We still have a serious summer ahead of us. But at least it will help attract some top talent.

The next 5 games are an absolute massive 5 games in the history of this club. If we fail to cling on to this position, then we may well fade in the same way Villa have, Leeds had done, Saudi Sportswashing Machine previously too.

its going to be a summer of absolutely massive upheavel.

i think we could slide back into mid table. dont think we'll sink lower than that.

next appoinment is huge.

If i had to draw a list with all the players i would sell this summer, it would be a long list.

Exactly. There is a LOT of work to be done to tidy the club up. We were not even able to shift Jenas, Gio and Bentley when we really tried to. 2 players who are in their prime!

To be honest lads, I think it's back to mid-table mediocrity for the next couple of years. I survived the 90s though, so it's not gonna stop me following Spurs through thick and thin. I was just hoping for a bit more thick this time round :(
