Victimpool FC - Klopp leaving, grown men crying

Most deluded fans in football. They will expect him to perform miracles from the off. I give him the end of next season before his job is on the line.

I think he will be a success, a limited success and not given enough time and binned. They really do want top four next season, win the league the year after and then CL the year after that expect to win the Premier League this season and the Champions League next season, at least. It's where they belong and it's their year.
Fools.

In all fairness other clubs make almost the exact same generalisations about us...

I don't know any Spurs fans who expect to win the league or fans of other clubs who think that we do. Most of the gripes I hear from other fans of other clubs is that we are a bit up ourselves with the whole playing football the "Tottenham way" stuff.

fudge 'em. We are right and everybody else is wrong. :p

We get a lot of brick for thinking we are a big club. We should know our place. Play some nice football and finish 10th.

The undercurrent of all these articles reads to me that BR was harshly dealt with because it wasn't his fault. Injuries, losing Suarez, Gerard, carragher et al, transfer committee, and now undermined by a spotty youth with no playing career and a laptop.
Just admit it he failed. Move on.

i suspect brendan rodgers' issue was that he promised what he couldnt deliver.

I always wondered what people mean when they say "big club". Fanbase? Finances? History? Consistently winning trophies? Playing in the Champions League? All of them?

I don't consider us a big club like Real Madrid or Bayern Munich, but I sure as hell don't consider Liverpool a big club anymore either, they lost that status many years ago. One fluke of a season with their one man team doesn't change that, and neither will Klopp. He will have to rework their squad and that will take another season or two for them. There is a good chance he'll fall out with someone along the way, he is a strong character. Add the absurd amount of pressure the fans will put on him and it's a recipe for disaster, honeymoon period or not. I read some newspapers considered his style perfect for Liverpool, which is funny because his style is high pressure, brutal attacking football, and not the Liverpool way of passing till you die of boredom.

I am not an oracle, but my stomach is, and it says this won't end well. (Can't wait for this to be quoted over and over in five years time when they won the league 3 times ;) )

Get ready for Kloppmania when we face them then. We'll be instant, massive underdogs.

I can't wait. It will be a "welcome to the Premier League Bitch" moment I hope.

I don't know whether he'll be a success or not obviously, but people speak a lot about him overcoming B Munchen in the BL as a reason that he'll be a success here. Very impressive yes, but in the PL he's up against 4 B Munchens and 2 or 3 other Dortmund equivalents!

I'm still tinkled off though because he looks like a cool guy and now he's representing those weirdos.

Hopefully he doesn't get his coaching staff with him. Pool want to keep McAllister and the others. That will be a massive mistake. If you buy a Porsche, you want the engine and wheels as well, not just the chassis!

Edit: Just saw he probably does get his coaching staff too. Damn!

Is he not an off the wall, zany madcap kind of guy? Can't see that working over here and especially at Liverpool who take themselves so seriously it's almost a religion.
