i think dawsons contribution is being overlooked but it was a good display by verts

i have to say, i might have been to nervous to see but i dont know why people think he had this supernatural level type game. he had quite a few heroic moments though, but you kind of tend to expect that when teams do backs to the wall type defending

anyway, i am really thankful we have him....not as good as ledders but we definately have filled the gap adequately

Lol that's harsh mate, I think he's massively cut out the times he switches off. Much as I rate Daws I think long term our first choice pairing will be Kaboul/Verts....

If Kaboul repeats his form of last season I would have to agree that they would be my top rated central defenders but we obviously need 4, and AVB has shown that he rotates his central defenders.

Oh yeah, I def wouldn't want Daws going at all - I was another one of those who wouldn't of minded him being sold for £8m, I won't be making that mistake again!

This assumes that Kaboul will return the same player that he was when he was injured.

Could well be Dawson & Verts in to the future. Kaboul will have to be pretty spectacular to dislodge Dawson. AVB has shown a player doesn't just go straight in to the first team, they must earn their place.

Kaboul needs to get match-time to get fit so I suspect he won't be too involved at this stage anyway. Perhaps the odd sub appearance - maybe even in midfield? Shame he can't play up front! :D

With the power in his shots he'd definitely cause problems to the fans sat in the stand behind the goal!

Now if only he was accurate with his shooting..

I've argued for that too for when he comes back because he has been an absolute beast when he's played there before. However, as others have already said, Walker has upped his game recently. Would still like to see Kaboom tried at RB in say the Euros, would certainly give Walker the kick up the arse he needs.
