**Official Other Games Thread, Season 2012/13**

:ross: I don't love Barca anywhere near as you love Madrid, I don't even support Barca. I'd rather Dortmund or Bayern won the CL if I'm honest.

Anyone but Real Madrid or Arsenal to win it. Can't stand some of Madrid's players. Pepe, Di Maria, Ronaldo, Carvalho, Marcelo, Ramos. Horrible twunts.

I don't love them either (although appreciate their sheer attacking brilliance as a unit) - simply enojoy the banter with the numerous Messi / Barcelona disciples on here and the endless media deep-throat.

Football forum and all . . . my bad

I can understand Pepe .

Di Maria I assume for exaggerating contact.

Why Ronaldo? Is that based on anything recent?

Carvalho isn't very good anymore anyway, so I'm not a fan of his anyway.

Marcelo is a good player. Is this mostly the Crouch thing? I hated him for ages after that.

Ramos, what did he do?

Di Maria- dives

Ronaldo- phenomal player, but incredibly arrogant and cares about himself more than the team in my opinion.

Carvalho- dirty

Marcel- yep, the Crouch sending off, him punching the air and smiling.

Ramos- Filthy bugger. 16 red cards in his career already! Just to put that into perspective, Lee Cattermole has 7 red cards.

Yes, but Lee Cattermole plays in the PL. For example, Ramos last had a red card for two yellows that weren't yellows. The 2nd yellow was a handball, which due to the Spanish league's stupid "a handball is a booking most of the time, but only when we feel like it" rule, ended up in him being sent off, both were harsh, neither would have been yellow cards here.

I don't think he has a single red card for Spain, I think he only has about 12 yellow cards in almost 100 games for his country. (I'm not 100% confident in the stats site I checked that on. But unless they made a huge typo somewhere, that shouldn't be far off.)

He gets a lot of cards, but it's hard to compare him to PL players because the refs act totally differently.

Hopefully this site isn't too far out. It currently lists Ramos as having 94 yellow cards in 275 matches. Dani Alves has 78 in 283. Heitinger got 11 yellows in 28 games when he played there. Chico got 23 yellows in 80 matches. Pique has 36 in 151. Busquets has 37 in 139. Michu got 9 in 37. Javi Garcia got 9 in 43.

It's a crazy league for cards, each week there is at least 1 red card that no one can work out what it is for.

Looking at the CL, Ramos has 2 yellows and 0 reds from this season, 2 yellows and 0 reds last season, 3 yellows/1 red the season before that, 4 yellows/0 reds the season before that, 0/0 the season before that, 3 yellows before that, 4 yellows before that and 0 yellows and 1 red in the 05/06 season.

I totally accept he is no angel, but he's no Lee Cattermole.

Anyway, fair enough, thanks for answering.
